Dr. Yulia Sokolova's Questionnaire

(ngl I'm not sure where we plan on starting but I probably live pretty close).

I live near college town where I do my research. I have a quaint home that I once shared with my now ex-husband Sasha, until he tried to steal my research. Now I share my home with my three cats, Koshka, Mila, and Lev (much better company than Sasha, anyways). We have nice big windows that I like to read by while the cats birdwatch, and I keep a thriving garden full of colorful flowers and tasty fruits and veggies.

While there's one less person living under my roof now, it's certainly not a lonely place. I often host dinners for my students and have many friends who live nearby that love to stop by for visits.

As a tenured professor, I of course get my money through my research! When I first graduated with my PhD, I primarily focused my studies on biodiversity and evolution. Rare populations, mutations, and unusual behavior have always been a source of great fascination to me. So in the dawn of The Illumination, I of course took an interest in the strange and the supernatural. While not entirely within my original area of expertise, I have spent much of my free time in the past few years studying the occult.

As far as my spendings go, I am a fairly simple woman. I like to buy little trinkets for myself here and there, take myself out to nice dinners and shows at the theater on occasion, et cetera. Otherwise, much of it is saved for retirement or donated in the name of science!

Yulia is a woman of science and discovery!! She's driven by curiosity and the desire to unveil the hidden truths of this world. As a young woman, she was very passionate about biodiveristy, with particular interests in rare populations, novel behaviors, and strange mutations. As supernatural phenomena became more mainstream and common-knowledge, Yulia found herself enamored with the world of cryptozoology.

She definitely draws the line at playing dirty against innocents, but she's willing to spend lots of her own time and resources and risk her own physical safety to achieve her goals.

She's truly a little gremlin of a woman, and her enthusiasm for discovery has mostly overpowered her survival instincts, which is what makes her the perfect candidate to become a world renowned cryoptozoologist

Around the time that the rest of the world became aware of the supernatural, Yulia was out studying during field season. She was sitting near the lake, recording notes on some of the species that she was observing that day, when she saw it-- across the lake, through the fog, was the looming silhouette of the Loch Ness monster. The experience was life-changing for Yulia. Never had she felt so small in such a great, beautiful world of mystery. Filled once more with childlike wonder and awe, she set out to chase the untold mysteries of this new occult world.

Yulia lives only a few doors down the street from her beloved sister, Stefaniya, whom she has always been quite close to. The two of them immigrated to the US together in their early adulthood, and they've been by each other's sides ever since. They can often be found sitting together on the porch during warm afternoons, sipping wine, gossiping, and generally enjoying each other's company.

Yulia also has many friends within the university she works for. While she has no children of her own, she has always been content as a mentor to her many students over the years. She has become particularly close with a very promising PhD student in her lab named Avery. While Avery studies more traditional biology, they know of Yulias cryptozoological endeavors and are quite supportive of her ambitions.

Yulia also has a love for gardening and likes to buy fresh flowers from the local florist: an older man named Robert. The two have always been very friendly towards one another, but they've perhaps grown even closer after Yulias divorce. They've even developed a perhaps *flirtatious* relationship in recent times.
