Gege's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

I live somewhere in a remote city far to the east. For what it's worth, there is peace and quiet, people (mostly) mind their business, and I can have a beer every once in a while. Also, when I was younger I thought it'd be better to live here rather than have the crowded city life. I was wrong on many things, that was not one of them. I rent a small apartment not to far from the commercial district. I'm not one for decorations so it's pretty bland looking, but it functions most of the time and it keeps my head away from the rain when I sleep. Amen

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

I'm sort of  a freelancer at the moment, doing odds jobs here and there for the mom and pops shops, ocassional business folks, and every so often, some really shady folks. Can't say it's always the easiest type of work but it pays alright and it help me manage. For the most part this pays out rent, gym, food, and alcohol. The rest I might gamble, buy some soju, gamble some more and replace whatever gear I lose on gigs. One day it'll get better, but for now, we survive of what we have adn we drink our problems away.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

When I was young, I've heard stories about the great Awakened, that through Heaven and Earth, they alone are the Honored one. Everyone still thinks of it as some tall tale to convince kids to work hard and do their chores, but looking at the world as it is today, I just know there's more to it. That's why I train every day, working body and mind. I heard about these strange orgs that grant out mystical gifts. Maybe they can help out. I grew up being an average kid with little more than some physical skill, but maybe, even if it's just once, even if it's for the briefest of moments, I'd like to say those words myself. Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honoured One

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

I've spent a good portion of my life researching the Awakened and everything that comes with it. Turns out, there's very little that is publicly available, so I started snooping in places I shouldn't be, and there it was, a complete shit show. Some strange ass creatures appeared out of nowhere as I searched some abandoned archives. It was a pain in the ass to get out of there, but somehow I managed to jump out a window, but just before I escaped, there they were, some stranger minding their own business. Duded wrecked those creatures' asses with ease. Was that maybe him? Did he see on the way out? Just a few weeks later, I received a call, and here we are

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

First we have Loam: We've known each other since were kids, played in the same sports teams together, went to the same school, were practically inseparable, but as life would have it, as one gets older, life just took us into different directions. Last I heard he graduated top of his class and landed a job with one of Japan's top business firms. We message each on rare occasions but like I said, things are different now.

Next would probably be old man Nobu: Nobu always kept to himself, lives in his small house/dojo in the outskirts. When I decided uni wasn't for me, I went to him in case he needed help or anything of the like, as I needed money ASAP. Not surprisingly, he's a bit of a hardass, had me doing all sorts of renovation and work on his place. He did however, give me a place to stay and taught how to kick ass (with style). I moved out a few years back but still stop by to check on his old ass. I thought he'd be a pain in the ass, but he's quite alright.

Last and certainly least, we have my folks. You see, I don't look all high class but for better or worse, I did come from an uptight, fancy family. They cared only about grades, being top of the class, things that were more akin to what Loam does. I wasn't about that life, so I left, never to see or hear from them again. That's not to say they keep an eye on me. They might, or maybe I'm just that full of myself at times, but they certainly have the money to do so if they wanted.
