Ah, Yellowknife. Capital of the Northwest Territories of Canada, not the home of knives that were pissed on. For the uninitiated, that location might just sound like a random string of nonsense, but trust me when I say this, it's so much more than just that!
For one, there's snow. Lots of it. Lots and lots of snow. Did I mention the snow? Shit, I swear shovelling the stuff's how I stay fit or something despite being plugged into this headset most all day. Sure wish I had a real life exploit to deal with that! The exercise is nice though, heh. Snow's also good for sledding whenever I decide to do that, nice hill by the house.
Another bonus is it's pretty secluded, population's small. Though it's not like I see anyone milling about or anything. Not much reason to come on out these days when you've got everything you could ever want right here, least for those who can afford it. We have Yellowknife Bay too, it's kind of in the name.
As for where I live in particular, well... not to brag, but it's kind of homey. It's a log cabin. I know right? Real wood. Lab grown. The good shit. I have a fire going right now, not like I can feel it, with this damn thing hijacking how I feel things. Managed to have enough left over from each of my paychecks to hole up here all nice and cozy. What do you mean I don't work? I have a Patreon! I document what I do! The fans love me! All... uh... all of them.
As stated before, I tend to monetize my exploits in Neo-G, no pun intended there. I find glitches or exploits, and I post footage of them, sure, but I lock how to do them behind a paywall. It's genius! You get some wannabe kid who wants to learn from the best, that being me, by the way, they'll pay the highest tier if they're desperate to be cool enough. Trust me, nobody has the hunting expertise I do, and if someone does, I'll find out where they live and kill them. In Neo-GENIS, of course.
You know, sometimes I suspect I have devs on the bankroll. The glitches I find tend to be patched pretty quickly. None of my business, of course, they're paying, heh. Incentivies me to make more content too, and incentivizes people to keep on paying.
Makes me wonder, though. Could I charge extra for a "dev" tier or something? Heh, nah.
Simple. I want to become a legend in the community of Neo-G. The kind people view in awe and wonder while you're around. The kind people make video essays about many years after you've left. I want to be the exploiter-god of Neo-GENIS, the son of a glitch that left enough of a mark to be considered that. Also I think it'd be fun to be a bit of a thorn in the devs' side, that nagging reminder that they're making a video game, not real life 2. Love 'em for it though, it's fun to fuck shit up in highest-definition!
As for how far I'll go, well, I have my limits, of course, but if it's right there, I'd probably be willing to do anything. Would probably contribute to my infamy to do that anything too, heh.
I think I've established I'm a pretty modest guy, but chances are that modesty won't be long-lasting at the trajectory I'm going at. I'm heading straight for the top, baby. Don't stop me now, 'cause I'm having a good time. Yeah, I just quoted Queen, Freddie Mercury is my idol, rest in peace you flaming bisexual.
Most defining moment of this life or the outside life? Whatever, heh, I'll answer both ways. They kinda tie in together.
When I was younger, I played a lot of video games. Shocker, I know, the exploiter has played a lot of video games. But! In those games, I was always a hunter, always striving to find new ways to break and bend the game for fun or for sport. I was in a couple speedrunning communities back in the day, you might now me, hell, you probably do know me. I went by Hackerman, still do.
Anyway, when I finally plugged into Neo-G, I was shocked to find an almost complete absence of an exploit or glitch hunting scene of any sort. Everyone was way too focused on how real everything was, almost forgetting it was a video game in a sense. Of course, like any video game, it has its imperfections, all you gotta do is pull back the seams. Like I do! I decided I would become a hunter, you could say I had previous job experience, and the rest is history. As real as Neo-G is, it's still just bits and bobs of code, models, effects, mechanics, et cetera. I'm probably the best at seeing that sort of thing as it is. Probably.
