Mr. Fox's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Link Answered before Mr. Fox's first Contract.

I live in Brush Park, Detroit, a neighborhood rich in history and character. The area’s blend of historic charm and modern revitalization drew me in, and its close-knit community makes it feel like home. Detroit’s resurgence and vibrant culture offer endless opportunities and inspiration, which is why I chose to settle here.

My home reflects my success and unique taste. It's a large, elegant mansion that combines classic Victorian architecture with modern comforts. The exterior boasts restored stonework and expansive windows, while inside, the rooms are spacious and filled with high-end furnishings. The living room, with its high ceilings and grand fireplace, is perfect for hosting gatherings, and my study is a sanctuary filled with books and artifacts that inspire me. The backyard, with its landscaped garden and inviting pool, provides a private oasis in the heart of the city.

While Brush Park is my chosen home, I’ve always been drawn to the energy of New York. The bustling streets and endless possibilities there are incredibly appealing. Still, for now, Brush Park offers the perfect blend of history, community, and the excitement of being part of Detroit’s revival, making it the ideal place for me.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Link Answered before Mr. Fox's first Contract.

I currently make my money by helping run a unique business that assists other anthropomorphic individuals and friendly cryptids in finding employment. Our company focuses on creating opportunities for those who often face discrimination, helping them integrate into society and thrive. It’s incredibly fulfilling work, and it’s also quite lucrative.

I spend my money on several things that bring me joy and fulfillment. A significant portion goes toward maintaining and enhancing my luxurious home in Brush Park. I also invest heavily in the community, supporting local businesses and funding projects that promote cultural and historical preservation in Detroit. Additionally, I love to travel, experiencing new places and cultures, and I frequently donate to charities that align with my values, particularly those that support marginalized communities and animal rights. My spending reflects my belief in using wealth to create positive change and enjoy the finer things in life.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Link Answered before Mr. Fox's first Contract.

My ambition is to create a nation where animal people and friendly cryptids can live in peace, free from discrimination and prejudice. This vision is a place where we can thrive without fear of humans or non-animal people disrupting our way of life. It’s a dream driven by the desire for equality, safety, and self-determination for our kind.

I am willing to go to great lengths to achieve this goal. While I believe in peaceful and diplomatic solutions, I am not naive about the challenges ahead. I would not kill indiscriminately, but I would defend myself and others if absolutely necessary. I am prepared to face danger and even risk my own life to see this vision become a reality. My dedication to this cause is unwavering, and I am committed to overcoming any obstacle in my path to create a safe haven for my community.

However, over time, I began to see my transformation as a unique opportunity. As I embraced my new form, I found fame and fortune, becoming a symbol of resilience and change. This journey from despair to empowerment taught me to turn adversity into strength. It shaped my ambition to create a world where others like me can live free from fear and discrimination. 6. How was your childhood? Who were your parents? What were they like? Did you attend school? If so, did you fit in? If not, why not?

Link Answered after Contract 1, (0-3) Hello Vietnam!

My childhood was a blend of privilege and pressure. I was born into a wealthy family, my parents both successful in their respective fields. My father, Richard Hennson, was a prominent businessman with a stern demeanor and high expectations. He was demanding but always provided for us and instilled a strong work ethic in me. My mother, Eleanor Hennson, was a renowned socialite known for her elegance and charitable work. She was kind and nurturing but also maintained high standards for my behavior and accomplishments. I attended an exclusive private school where the children of the elite received their education. The school was prestigious, with excellent facilities and a rigorous academic curriculum. However, fitting in was not always easy. The pressure to excel academically and socially was immense, and the competition among peers was fierce. I was often seen as the “rich kid,” which isolated me from others who resented my privileged background. Despite this, I managed to make a few close friends and found solace in my studies and extracurricular activities.

7. Have you ever been in love? With who? What happened? If not, why not?

Yes, I have been in love, and I still am. Alicia Wren, the passionate advocate for animal people and crypids, captured my heart from the moment we met at a charity event. Her intelligence, dedication, and fiery spirit were magnetic. We’ve worked closely together on numerous projects, and our shared vision for a better future has brought us even closer. While I haven’t yet fully confessed my feelings to her, our bond continues to grow. We share a deep connection and mutual respect, and her presence in my life inspires and motivates me daily. Alicia’s support and understanding are invaluable, and I cherish every moment we spend together. Although the words “I love you” have not yet been spoken, my feelings for her are undeniable, and I hope that one day, our relationship will evolve into something even deeper.

8. What are your worst fears? Why?

Link Answered after Contract 2, Our Sweetest Basilisk

My worst fears revolve around large animals, particularly dogs. This fear stems from a traumatic experience I had shortly after my transformation into a fox man. Before my transformation, I never had any particular aversion to animals. However, becoming an anthropomorphic fox drastically changed my relationship with the animal kingdom.

Shortly after my transformation, I was attacked by a large dog. The incident was terrifying and left me with deep physical and emotional scars. The dog's ferocity and the feeling of being completely overpowered and vulnerable were overwhelming. Since then, the sight or sound of large dogs triggers intense fear and anxiety. Their presence reminds me of that helplessness and the pain I endured. This fear extends to other large animals as well. The sheer size and strength of animals like bears or wolves evoke a primal terror in me. I worry that their natural instincts could lead them to see me as a threat or prey, despite my human intellect and capabilities.

This affects my daily life and work. While I am passionate about helping animal people and friendly cryptids, I must be cautious and deliberate in my interactions with larger animals. I often rely on my trusted colleagues to handle situations involving large animals to avoid confrontations that could trigger my fear. This vulnerability is a constant reminder of the complexities and challenges of my unique existence, and it pushes me to work even harder to create a safe and understanding world for all beings, regardless of their nature or form.

My most prized possession is my bespoke tweed suit, a testament to my journey and achievements. The suit’s craftsmanship is impeccable, reflecting my status and taste for elegance and luxury. This suit holds immense sentimental value for me. It symbolizes my transformation from a period of turmoil and uncertainty to one of confidence and success. When I first donned this suit, it was a turning point in my life. Wearing it made me feel powerful and dignified, a stark contrast to the feelings of vulnerability and fear I experienced during my transformation into a fox man. It gave me the confidence to step into the public eye, embrace my new identity, and advocate for others like me.

Moreover, the suit represents my commitment to excellence and my belief in investing in quality and craftsmanship. It's not just a piece of clothing; it's a part of my identity. When I wear it, I feel connected to my past struggles and my future ambitions. It's a reminder of how far I've come and the journey ahead in my quest to create a safe and accepting world for animal people and friendly cryptids. This suit is my armor, my statement, and a cherished symbol of my resilience and determination.
