CHARON FACILITY RESEARCH NOTES: Subject V3-ALITH

With the current state of the signal and the data that is received being interfered by some unknown means, we have not located the true whereabouts of V3-ALITH. We can only presume, with the overheard conversations that do come through that V3 is maintaining a nomadic living situation due to the danger of their surroundings, whatever they may be. It can be assumed that they are searching for a potential nesting sight, and "scouting" the area for potential hosts. The Research Group here on Charon have decided to listen to the intercepted signals until further updates are made on the matter. |
CHARON FACILITY RESEARCH NOTES: Subject V3-ALITH

The subject seems to have procured a means of consumption, by hunting the local populace whom call themselves "Players" and "NPC"s. "Looting" their remains for their locale currency. So far, the Subject has acquired some low sum of said currency, but is, as yet to learn of it's use, or even perhaps care for it. One can only wonder what a Xenomorph would do if provided with a substantial amount of money, and know what to do with it. A research paper for another time perhaps. Subject V3-ALITH does however seem to show some deal of ownership as their intelligence progresses. Adapting to the environment? Perhaps. |

The Xenomorphs have a caste system similar to that of bees and ants. A major difference is that their caste system is far more complex. It's believed that the Drones (in this instance used to indicate a "worker" caste, instead of mating-capable Xenomorphs). Their main tasks are to keep the hive in good condition. Also, they seem to have the job of creating their nests with their own secretions. If Subject V3-ALITH is similar to their counterparts, then they are most interested in finding a good location for their hive, gathering resources in the form of victims and growing their populace until they themselves can birth drones. Like any animal, it's the instinctual will to survive. |

The three XENOMORPHS stalk back and forth in the dim light of their pen. Dr. Alexis Chambers and an Armed Guard, have their backs to the camera. The subjects stop pacing. One of them, to the right, looks at the one on the left. Something passes between them. They look back at the humans. At each other. A loud hiss is let out before they set on the middle Xenomorph, tearing it apart. It lets out piercing, insectile shriek as they tear it limb from limb. The Doctor spins in terror, the guard bringing up his weapon. Chambers hits the lights inside the pen and as they blink to shocking brightness we see: The remains of the third alien on the ground as a giant pool its blood eats a hold in the floor.
She bolts for the failsafe but it's too late as the blood eats all the way through - the two aliens DIVE through the hole. just as the Doctor hits the button -- freezing gas fills the chamber but there's nothing to freeze. [DR. CHAMBERS]- "Christ... They could be anywhere." |
RESEARCH HEADS OF PROJECT CHARON
DR. ALEXIS CHAMBERS
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX |
Dr. Alexis Chambers is a South African origin biologist. She is Head of the Charon Facility Biological Examination, and former Professor of Biology at ZETA-X-12. Chambers is a research pioneer, award-winning educator and innovator in the higher education space who was elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in November 2198. Prior to June 2195, she was a Member of Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, Professor of Biology at ZETA-X-12 Institute of Technology and Associate Member of the Broad Institute of ZIT and HTV2. Chambers studies development of the invertebrate embryo, and has made unique contributions to understanding how the Xenomorph forms and how the brain develops its structure. |

Nobel Prize Winner in Physiology or Medicine in 1904. He developed the concept of Xenomorphic feedback. Furthermore, he progressed the application of functional systems (FS) which tied together subtle neuro-physiological mechanisms and integral activity of the subjects. Improving their ability to follow orders on the field. |
DR. XIU LANG

Lang led ABE's government research, some of which remains classified to this day. Known projects included the development of an Xenomorph ambush detection system. Lang's approach derived from a skepticism towards the studies of Xenomorphic behavior done in laboratory settings. He considered that in order to understand the mechanisms of animal behavior, it was necessary to observe their full range of behaviors in their natural context. Thus project Charon was born out of a way to develop "Tamed Xenomorphs" |
