I live in Daedunsan, Korea. Life in Daedunsan as an Olympic shooter is a disciplined and focused existence. I started at a young age learning archery from my father, hunting small animals in the mountains. When I was older, he taught me how to use a gun, which started my love for shooting. Surrounded by the scenic mountains, the environment is peaceful, perfect for honing shooting skills. Days begin early with intense training sessions in state-of-the-art facilities, where precision and consistency are the main goals.
The community is supportive, with fellow athletes and locals respecting the dedication required to reach Olympic levels. Despite the intense training schedule, there is a strong emphasis on maintaining a connection with nature; many shooters spend their downtime hiking the trails or meditating in quiet temples, which helps them build the mental resilience required for competition.
Meals are nutritious, promoting health and endurance. Life here balances hard work with the tranquillity of nature, offering an ideal setting for an athlete preparing for the highest level of competition.
