Jawl's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

What are you, some kind of creep? I live in a normal house like a normal person. I live in my normal house because I don't have the kind of money to move anywhere else. If everything goes how it is right now, I will have been born, lived and died all in the same stupid city.

Can't even call this much of a house. It's got four walls, a roof and a floor but that's about it. Heating is busted, the insulation is horrible, and I swear we have a mold problem. Frankly I'm lucky the place hasn't collapsed on me yet. So does that answer your invasive question?

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

I do odd jobs, anything to get by really. You do what you have to get by. No job is too bad as long as it means I can manage to keep a roof over my head. It gets close some months, but I manage to scrape by with savings. Most of my money goes to trying to keep myself fed and cared for and keeping my home from falling apart. If I have anything left over I do what I can to keep myself entertained. I actually managed to jury-rig a Neo-GENIS headset recently, cobbled it together from spare parts I found laying around a junkyard and some broken ones I snagged from dumpsters.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

I want this whole stupid system to burn. It doesn't work. The people at the top have no idea what it's like down at the bottom. People just become stats, numbers on a screen, pawns to be manipulated for whatever whims they feel like. It's sick and I'm tired of it. In history when systems were like this, revolutions happened, so why can't that happen again? Why can't someone just off a few people high up? Make em sweat a little, show them the rats that live in their trash have a nasty bite? Now me, I'm a law abiding citizen and would risk doing anything... but if someone did... all I'm saying... pride goes before the fall, and the people in charge have been pretty prideful as of late.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Jawl's first Contract.

I was born with a very strange birth defect. Basically, the veins that supply blood to my brain are pinched slightly. This means I get less blood flow to my brain than normal. This means I get lightheaded and can pass out from activities that might have just winded a normal person. You know how I found this out? When I was trying out for my school track team and I nearly died cause I passed out and hit my head.

Do you know how easy this problem is to fix? Super easy, the surgery would take like 30 minutes max. However, that kind of surgery isn't covered in my healthcare plan and if I had to pay for it it would set me back hundreds of thousands of dollars. This system robbed me of a normal life and I have to spend the rest of my waking hours with that knowledge.
