Brooke's Questionnaire

I don't live in a town, really, I just live in my mom's cabin. It's in a little nook between some tall hills, and next to a beautiful lake! There's a garden that grows lots of vegetables, and there's a pier that goes out to the lake. Also, next to my house, is a woodshed where there's a boat so I can go on the water!

It's been a little quiet out here after Mom died, but I live right next to the Puddlings and the Lake Lord! They help me get fish from the lake to eat too, and make sure I don't get sick! The lakeside is my favorite place to be.

My mom left me some savings. I'm being very, very careful with how I spend it since it won't last forever, but I usually use it to buy new clothes and have it delivered to my home. I don't buy food with it very often (except for flour and rice, which is really cheap if you know where to go) since I have my garden at home and plenty of fish from the lake, so I think the savings will probably hold out for at least a few more years. I also buy medicine occasionally with it, which is very important, and the electric bill.

The Lake Lord is my very best friend in the world. It is a really really huge spirit of water. It can also divide itself into portions, and the smallest portions are called Puddlings.

The Lake Lord took a small trip out of the lake once by turning itself into a cloud and flying into the sky, but then lightning struck the cloud! The cloud got scattered everywhere and I was really, really scared, but then I saw that one of the clouds made it back to the lake. It dropped back in, and the Lake Lord was there! He was tiny, though. Barely horse-sized. Mini-scule! And all the rest of the clouds went everywhere!

I need to go find out where all the other little puddlings went and bring them home. The Lake Lord has been so good to me, so I need to help carry it out of the water just like my Mom used to so I can save my friend!

My Mom died a few years ago. It was really sad, but I'm okay. The Lake Lord is helping me now that Moms dead. It helps keep me safe, helps me budget for food, helps me cook without cutting myself on the knives, and helps me get to bed when I'm having a hard time sleeping.

Being alone at home is lonely, but it's also really, really, really boring. I've read all the books in the house at least six times over, and the Puddlings aren't very good at board games.

I hope I meet some really nice people on my quest. Mom told me not to talk to strangers, but how will I get to know anybody if I don't?

The Lake Lord! It's a spirit, which means it has a 'dis-cor-por-e-al' brain, but a physical body! It doesn't have any bones or anything, it's just water all the way through. It can still be hurt and it can hold things with it's water sudo pods, but it can swim like you wouldn't believe and stay underwater for, like, ever!

Another person would be the delivery guy, I guess? He asks me sometimes if my mom is home whenever I come and sign for a package, so I just tell him she's busy. I don't really know what his deal is.

And... that's it! The Puddlings are great, but there's way too many of them to mention all of them. I don't really have many more friends. When I go to find the Puddlings, though, I'm going to get to meet a ton of people! I'm excited for this adventure, since it's just like something out of my books!

I don't know who my dad was, but my mom was River. She was also a conduit for the Lake Lord, and she taught me everything I know about it! It's been taking care of me for half of a year now. It doesn't really get a lot of the technology stuff, but it helps me remember to eat healthy and stuff, and it watches over me whenever I go out to the nearby town. I haven't been there for a while though.

I went to school for most of my life. But when Mom died, I just kind of stopped going. I took online classes. I didn't really have many friends other than the Lake Lord and the Puddlings.

I kind of feel lonely, but it's okay! The Lake Lord does its very best to encourage me to make friends and stuff. I super hope I can make some while I'm out looking for the puddlings!

Oh! I know! I'll have the Lake Lord answer, and I'll write that down!

I am not a being that loves as a human does, I do not need another one of myself to feel fulfilled. I hold the Conduit and her mother in the highest regard. (Aww, thanks!) 

And yet, I loved the Conduits mother. I loved her with my entire being. She was not pure, but she did not flinch from her impurities. She faced them and allowed them to either become refined or cast to the wayside. And, in turn, I love the Conduit. She is a part of me, as much as any of my pieces are.
