Akia's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Link Answered before Akia's first Contract.

Akia lives in an abandoned factory in Detroit, Michigan.  There's not really much left of the place.  The building is crumbling, and it's impossible to say what was made there before it shut down.  Akia has made a space there for herself in a small closet that somehow manages to stay warm enough in the cold winters.

She had to kick some other homeless guy out of there and make it her own, but when you're a feral child, only the strength of yourself really matters.  She's lived like this for awhile too, and she doesn't plan on making any changes either.

She won't turn down a well cooked meal though.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Link Answered before Akia's first Contract.

Akia doesn't really have any sort of income at the moment.  If she has money, it's because someone gave it to her, or she found it.  If she needs something, Akia will try to make something functional herself first.  Her crossbow was made of parts she found across the factory she took up residence in.

Food she'll often hunt for, or steal from someone.  Whichever comes first.  Money isn't something Akia has a good grasp of value on.  Akia has had it rough for so long that she's become used to her way of doing things, and is a bit scared of change.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Akia does want to help improve things in the world.  She's interested in righting wrongs, and dispensing her form of justice.  Her big foe right now is the 'Birdman.' That's all Akia knows him by.  The Birdman paid her family a visit when Akia was very young.  Akia just remembers the man's face, and how he always had birds around him all the time.

One night, Birdman paid her family a visit, he got into a fight with Dad over some money, and when Dad didn't have it, the Birdman started extracting payment from the flesh of his family.

That night, Akia's whole family died, and the Birdman is after her to collect on the last bit of debt, including interest.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Akia's first Contract.

It was the night the Birdman attacked.  Akia was around 8 years old.  Her home was located far out in the country side at the time.  The family had just settled in for dinner, Akia was fussing about her veggies.  There was a knock at the door.  Dad answered the door.  There was some shouting about a debt coming due.

The next thing Akia knows is an endless void swallowed the house, and birds swarmed the plac.  Akia picked a direction and ran.  By sear luck, Akia left the range of influence the Birdman had and ran out into the woods.  Akia didn't look back.  She kept on running.

Ever since, the Birdman has chased her.  Akia has so far managed to stay one step ahead, but for how much longer?

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Link Answered before Akia's first Contract.

Stephen Carter is a homeless man that lives in the same factory as Akia.  He helps bring food and supplies from his cart, in return, Akia provides protection.  Stephen is a bit, crazy, but he's always reliable.  Stephen is an older man in his 60's and is having a bit of trouble moving around due to his age.

Next would be Rebecca Milton.  She's the social worker that checks in on the homeless camped in the factory.  Especially during the winter time.  Rebecca has tried to get Akia into housing, and has good intentions, but thinks Akia"s stories of the Birdman are made up.

Last would have to be Alice.  Alice doesn't have a last name that Akia is aware of, and other people always complain they can't see Alice.  When they do say they see Alice, they always point to the wrong spot, or hear the wrong thing when she's talking.  Alice has gotten Akia out of lots of trouble, and taught her how to use her bow really well.  Alice is a good friend.
