Christopher Bloom's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Christopher Bloom lives in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was born there, and really just hasn't had a reason to leave for good quite yet. He's had to leave a few times for a job, but always finds himself drifting back. Maybe he's afraid of change. Or maybe he just doesn't see a reason to leave his home behind.

He lives in an apartment. Small, but comfortable, with the faint scent of smoke and dog hair purveying throughout the entire house. The furniture is thoroughly worn, but not in a way that makes it seem shabby or neglected, but more lived in.

Chris has various objects scattered around the house, but not much in terms of valuables. At least, out in the open. He's not a paranoid guy by any means, but he's a guy who understands that break-ins happen, and he's experienced in the world of crime, so he's got his valuables, as well as his product, kept in hidden nooks and crannies around the house.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Chris gets his money right now in periodic bursts by dealing street-level drugs that he gets from his buddy who is deeper into crime than he is, but he also looks for odd jobs and other opportunities for some quick cash when he can. He just doesn't find his life ever allowing him to keep a consistent work schedule and so he is technically working part time as a delivery driver, where he has 2 days of 10 hour shifts where he just drives from 2 to midnight, alone with his thoughts. He takes advantage of the job and uses the vehicle to make his own personal deliveries too.

He spends a large majority of his money just scrapping together rent. Anything else is enough to buy cigarettes, gas, and food. He has a bit saved away in case of an emergency, but it ain't much.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Link Answered before Christopher Bloom's first Contract.

Chris's Ambition is to enlighten the whole world to a simple truth: It doesn't have to be that serious.

No, seriously. If everyone just sat back and chilled out for a second, taking the time to understand the perspective and values of everyone else, there wouldn't need to be violence or misunderstandings or nearly as much pain in the world in general.

He strives to make a world where ignorance is wiped away to reveal enlightenment. Where a large majority of the world changes and reforms to be more accepting and free. A world where the leaders of countries sit down and smoke on live television together.

That's a world Chris wants to live in. But if he's got the choice between risking it all to get there faster and taking it slow so he can win the race, he's going to choose slow. He doesn't want to be a risk-taker at heart, but it ain't his choice sometimes and so he might just risk it if it meant saving a friend. People are more important than any Ambition afterall.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Christopher Bloom's first Contract.

The most defining event in Chris’s life before signing the Contract was when he took a smuggling job for people he didn’t trust. He had done similar work before, but this time, something went wrong. He won’t go into details, but the cargo ended up being much more dangerous than he realized, and he was caught in the crossfire of a deal gone bad. The situation escalated quickly, and while he somehow made it out unscathed, it was clear to him that he had gotten far too close to something that could’ve easily cost him his life.

That incident forced Chris to reevaluate his life. He wasn’t going to be someone else’s pawn anymore, caught in dangerous games with no control over his fate. From that point on, he chose to operate on his own terms, helping others in ways that didn’t put him, or them, at risk.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Clarence Hugo - An older man and Chris's criminal contact. He's a busy guy who is into multiple different facets of crime life. He's in drugs, weapon smuggling, forgery, and that's just what Chris has gotten into personally. The guy could be into political assassinations for all he knows. One thing is for certain though, and that's that the guy gets around. If Chris needs to know something, he knows who to ask. If Chris needs a weapon or substance he shouldn't have, he knows who to ask.

Smokey and Shithead (pronounced Shi-theed) - Chris's two dogs. Smokey is a grey Belgian Sheepdog who rarely barks and is, most of the time, just as chill as Chris himself. Shithead on the other hand, is a 10-pound bundle of crack addiction and rage. A Brussels Griffon, Shithead is usually the source of the loudest noise in the apartment, but seems to listen to Chris when he tells him to quiet down. It also helps that he's always got some leftovers on hand to feed the thing.

Mick "Mickey" Hart - One of Chris's friends from back in school. Also born in Fairmont and raised in a similar background to Chris, Mick got into the crime scene earlier than Chris and was actually the one who introduced him to Clarence Hugo, who acted as the brain to Mick's ability to ride a bicycle to deliver dope. Mick has gotten more involved in Clarence's jobs recently and has come into a bit of money because of it. Chris is trying to lead the guy away from the drug scene right now through hanging out and smoking with the guy.
