Gunnar Guðmundsson's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

I live on the edge of Reykjavik, in a suburb if you so will. I spend most of the time in the airfield control house anyway, sleep like half the week in there as well, the house is just for beaurocratic requirements really. I like the airfield, open skies are a great view, no matter the weather, and if I'm being honest, I'd say I made it quite comfortable over the years. Have a picture of my son there on my desk, put some nice custom made metal ornaments on and around the front door, painted it red (the exterior I mean). I might even put up some plants (or at least water the ones I have some more). What isn't there to love about this location?

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Well I operate the airfield. Mostly private flights going in and out, sometimes I get a call to lift someone or something and I go there with the helicopter. I know some of the people here and I'm smart enough not to inquire about everything that's being transported. And frankly: I don't care that much anyway. As long as I get my money, I'm just happy to be of service. I save most of my money, since meeting Harun I invest in precious metals as well. Some of the money goes towards Per's education. I've got a fair bit left over each month, so even if I go for a spontaneous trip overseas or something it doesn't rip a hole in my purse.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

My ambition? Good question...
I'd say... no, that's too vague...
Ah, I got it: In one word: Power
The power to protect what's mine and take what's not. The power to live without a worry and just strive. But that's probably just a pipe dream. I'm not a very intelligent man, but I do know with every step I take and every ounce of power I gain, I will draw more attention and it will take ages for me to actually rule my own kingdom or anything close to it.
But in the end I would do anything to achieve my dream. I would steal, I would lie, I would kill, I would torture. But most of the time that's not even needed, most of the time all you need is fear and respect, something you can gain by some well arranged rumors.
But if push comes to shove?

I will do ANYTHING  to win.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Now that's an easy one: My meeting with Harun, a few weeks before the contract called for the first time. I was doing a private tour for someone who paid for it with my helicopter when I crashed into Harun who just reawakened from his sleep. Big explosion, lots of fire. At least that's what I think, I blacked out almost immediately on impact. I woke up surrounded by scrap metal, the charred remains of my passengers and overflowing with a strange power and a voice in my head. Harun himself speaking to me, our souls now entwined. I think with his knowledge and power my goals are now in reach for the first time in my life.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

First person is Sören, immigrant from Denmark, basically my only coworker here on site. He's like what... 36? 37 I think. He knows the trade quite well after helping me for a few years and he's pretty reliable. Even if he shows up to work hungover from time to time. But to be fair so do I, but I'm the boss so it's allowed.
Second one is Gudrun my ex wife. Haven't heard from her for a few years now. Fortunately. Damn hag. Nasty Divorce, mother of my son, spiteful beast. Don't wanna get into it.
Third, and most importantly: my son. 21 years old, finally got his driver's license and he finally started making his own money after finishing his bachelor's degree. Waste of time if you ask me. Biochemistry or something. But I do love him very much, he's a bright boy, meet with him once a week to get something to eat or drink a beer. Fine lad if I'm being honest.
