Grayson "Bradley"'s Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Link Answered before Grayson "Bradley"'s first Contract.

Grayson lives in Los Angeles. He lives there because that is where he was born, and he hasn't really had the chance to go anywhere else. Plus, there is a bunch of useful stuff thrown away here. If he could move, he probably would, but only after learning his options. He wouldn't wanna go somewhere just to find out it's worse than where he is right now.

He hasn't found his "home" yet, but he lives in the Loving Hand's Children Home, an orphanage in Los Angeles, which he finds to be better in some ways than living with his parents when they were alive, but also just as lonely. At least he still has Rahab.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Link Answered before Grayson "Bradley"'s first Contract.

Grayson gets what little money he can by stealing things off the street when he's allowed out and pawning stuff, although there's not many pawn shops willing to accept something from a child, let alone give them a good price for it. He typically spends his earnings on stuffed animals, candy, and less important stuff like clothes and things he can use to explore around the neighborhood when he sneaks out of the orphanage at night- like flashlights, disposable cameras, shoes that don't make that little squeak when you walk, etc.

If he had more money, he'd probably use it to buy more stuffed animals or better clothes.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Link Answered before Grayson "Bradley"'s first Contract.

Grayson's Ambition is to find all those monsters Rabby seems to love talking about so much and then have Rabby beat them up so he can show them not to mess with whoever becomes his future family. But in all seriousness, he strives to be ready for the predators and dangers and monsters that lurk among regular people on the street and in clubs. Monsters like Rahab.

He can't stand to live like an orphan, taking pity from people and being adopted by a boring foster family that just wants to raise him like a pet because they want to feel good about themselves for taking in a stray like him. He wants power. He wants respect. He. Wants. Fear.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Grayson "Bradley"'s first Contract.

The most defining event in Grayson's life has to be when his parents tried to sell him for drugs. That night was a disaster. His parents brought a 6-year-old Grayson to a group of drug dealers and tried to offer him to them to pay for their addiction.

Neither the drug dealers, nor Rabby liked this very much at all. And so, like a demented game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Grayson's parents beat Grayson, the drug dealers beat Grayson's parents, and Rabby beat the drug dealers.

This was traumatic, to say the least. But it also brought an epiphany to Grayson in the coming months. It was the start of an understanding that made Grayson find what he thinks to be his true calling, despite living like trash.

This epiphany was that people are weak and stupid and die because of it. He doesn't want to be people.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Grayson doesn't have many people in his life at all, but out of the ones he does...

Calvin "Alamilla" Curtis is a young to middle-aged Hispanic man who visits him and the other kids at the orphanage. He also owns a pawn shop and is typically who Grayson sells all his knick knacks and/or stolen items to. He and Grayson are friends for the most part, seeing Grayson as more than just some sad orphan. Calvin would help Grayson to the extent that he will feign ignorance of him if the police were after him, but not much more than that.

Officer Randy Darnell is an older man and about-to-retire police officer with a bleeding heart and a man's man. He sometimes catches Grayson outside and always makes the same joke. "Look who decided to pay the sun a visit!" This is usually what he says when he catches Grayson doing something he shouldn't be doing, but he turns a blind eye, as it is mainly harmless things and he doesn't want to go through the effort of bringing the kid in. Also, it's just kinda sad. Grayson hates him.

Rahab is a spirit distantly related to Hebrew folklore. Their name means arrogance, or pride, and it shows in their behavior. They are typically very lackadaisical and don't seem to do much in the day, but at night, it becomes much more mischievous and malevolent, often inducing haunting dreams in Grayson as he sleeps. It also sometimes does mildly annoying things in the day, but typically keeps to itself. Despite the creature's almost cruel behavior sometimes, it also displays affection for Grayson, oftentimes preventing harm from coming to him, and displaying kindness when he is at his loneliest. Rahab is a jealous friend, but it is also Grayson's best friend.

Grayson isn't quite sure. He's pretty sure there was a time, but a lot of his earlier years are a bit foggy, and so if he had to sa-

Why do you always have to be so-

He wouldn't really say anybody has caught his eye yet. He's still a kid, after all! The closest thing would definitely have to be his little crush on that superhero girl in a comic he had read in his room that his parents had given him. He can't quite remember her name though.
