Chad Thunder's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Chad Thunder lives in San Francisco, California, in a private penthouse suite sitting at the peak of a skyscraper, because really, where else would he live? The city is full of money, power, and people desperate to prove themselves, which makes it the perfect place for Chad to stay on top, literally and figuratively.

His penthouse is a fortress of luxury and control, with bulletproof windows overlooking the city, a gym stacked with custom-forged weights, and round-the-clock security keeping out anyone unworthy of his time. Among his weights, one sits on a pedestal linked to a hidden vault. The only way to open it is by placing another absurdly heavy weight on a second pedestal while inputting a code, meaning only someone with superhuman strength like him could ever access what lies inside. From his storm-gray marble office, Chad plans his next move, ensuring that when the world turns to look at him, he is already three steps ahead.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Chad Thunder makes his money by being better than everyone else and making sure they know it. As the CEO of Titan Dynamics, a tech and energy conglomerate, he brings in millions a year through cutting-edge batteries, high-end fitness equipment, and luxury lifestyle products.

With $100,000 a month to burn, he spends on custom-tailored suits, first-class flights, and private security. His gym features custom-forged weights, one of which unlocks his private vault. He collects high-performance cars, motorcycles, and speedboats, not out of need, but because he can. He also funds storm-chasing, high-voltage research, and extreme training to ensure nothing, not even nature, outshines him.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Link Answered before Chad Thunder's first Contract.

Chad Thunder's ambition is nothing less than total control. He wants to take over the world, shaping it into something that reflects his power, vision, and superiority. Monsters, whether supernatural or human, are just obstacles in his way. He will control them, destroy them, or use them as proof of his dominance, whichever makes him look better.

There is no line Chad won’t cross to achieve this. He will kill, he will risk BEING killed. He refuses to be outmatched, outshined, or outlasted. Everyone else is either a stepping stone in his ascension to the throne or a piece of trash meant to be destroyed or punished for getting in his way.

If the world won’t bow willingly, he will force it to recognize him as its rightful ruler. Because that's what he is.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

Link Answered before Chad Thunder's first Contract.

The most defining event of Chad Thunder’s life was the moment he saw true strength. A businessman with both social, financial, and physical strength. He had always been arrogant and hardworking, believing that sheer muscle and determination would get him to the top. But after years of grinding, he came to understand that true power doesn’t come just from doing the work. It’s about leveraging all the resources at your disposal.

At a certain point, he recognized that taking the load off, surrounding himself with luxury, and indulging in vain purchases wasn’t a weakness. It was a statement. Dominating in every area of life, including comfort and indulgence, would prove that he was above everyone else, not just physically, but socially and financially. From that moment, Chad became determined to control not only his body and strength but also his wealth and influence, making sure that everything around him reflected his superiority.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Link Answered before Chad Thunder's first Contract.

Brock Steel (Closest person): Brock is Chad’s right-hand man, a strong and silent man who manages his security detail and handles the day-to-day operations of Titan Dynamics. The two share an unspoken bond built on mutual respect and competence, although Chad's larger-than-life personality and ambitions seem to inspire Brock greatly too. Brock’s loyalty to Chad is unwavering, and he's willing to break the rules or get his hands dirty to ensure Chad’s vision becomes a reality. In many ways, Brock acts as Chad’s personal enforcer, tackling the dirty work so Chad can focus on his ultimate goal of dominating the world. Their bond is tight, and Brock is one of the few people Chad would trust without question.

Evelyn Frost: Evelyn is a ruthless businesswoman and an invaluable member of Chad’s inner circle. She’s in charge of his investments, connections, and a lot of his high-profile deals. While she doesn’t always agree with Chad’s methods, she recognizes his brilliance and provides him with sound advice when necessary. Chad respects her mind, but they both know their ambitions don’t always align. Still, Evelyn keeps Chad grounded when his ego spirals out of control, even though she’s just as ambitious as he is. Chad trusts her enough to keep her close, but never lets his guard down fully, always knowing she has more moral ambitions than him.

Ryan Hayes: Ryan was once a corporate rival who came close to stealing Chad’s place at the top. A former corporate shark with a knack for outmaneuvering competitors, Ryan tried to undermine Chad before simply being overcome by Chad at the same time in Chad's life where he became more cunning, ruthless, and resourceful. Now, Ryan is less business partner and more friend from way back who has come to accept Chad's dominant personality, content to accept Chad's expensive gifts and outings that he pays for.

6. How was your childhood? Who were your parents? What were they like? Did you attend school? If so, did you fit in? If not, why not?

Link Answered after Contract 1, The Hour is Close at Hand

Chad's childhood was built on ambition, survival, and sheer force of will. His father was a relentless businessman, a former athlete turned entrepreneur, always chasing the next big break but never quite making it. He was a man who feared being overshadowed, and when Chad was born, he saw in his son both his greatest pride and his biggest threat.

His mother, knowing the kind of man she married, refused to let Chad be held back by his father. While his father wanted obedience, she ensured Chad had opportunity, enrolling him in elite training camps, introducing him to mentors who understood power in all forms. Ex-fighters, high-stakes investors, and socialites taught him how to win in any arena, whether it was boardrooms, ballrooms, or back alleys.

By the time Chad was in his twenties, he wasn’t just his father’s son, he was the man his father always wanted to be but never could. With unshakable confidence, a physique built like a Greek statue, and the drive to make the world kneel, Chad took over where his father failed, turning ambition into empire. He didn’t inherit his power. He made it.

7. Have you ever been in love? With who? What happened? If not, why not?

Link Answered after Contract 1, The Hour is Close at Hand

Chad Thunder has never been in love. At least, not in any other way than physical. He’s had flings that could have made headlines, breakups that tanked stock prices, and romances that could’ve been carved into marble, but nothing that ever made him stop.

He loves the chase, the spectacle, the power of being desired, but love? Love sounds like something that happens to other people. He’s a man of passion, not permanence. Maybe one day, someone will match his fire, someone who won’t slow him down. Until then, Chad enjoys the game. And if he ever loses? Well, he doesn’t plan to.

8. What are your worst fears? Why?

Link Answered after Contract 2, "Beautymark"

Chad Thunder’s greatest fear is irrelevance. The idea that he could one day be forgotten, his name lost to time, is something he cannot accept. He has spent his entire life proving that he is superior, fighting for dominance every day and in every aspect of life. Financially, physically, socially, any way he can. If all of that could be erased, if he could be reduced to nothing more than another businessman, another name on a long list of the ambitious but ultimately replaceable, then what was the point of all his struggle?

This fear is majorly rooted in his upbringing. His father tried to snuff his ambition, to keep him small and under control, because he was afraid of what Chad could become. That planted a deep resentment in him, a need to prove that he is destined for more. He couldn't and still can't allow himself to be anything less than exceptional. If he were ever to be surpassed, forgotten, or worse, dependent on someone else, it would mean his father was right to doubt him. That possibility is unbearable.

Chad does not fear death, because death is final. Being forgotten, having no legacy, being just another man instead of something greater; that is a fate worse than death.

9. What is (are) your most prized possession(s)? What makes it (them) so special?

Link Answered after Contract 2, "Beautymark"

Chad's most prized possession is something given to him by his mother. It's a small pendant around his neck that is much smaller and less extravagant than his other adornments that it is often overlooked.

It is referred to by Chad as the "Storm Pendant" and it was given to him by his mother, Evelyn Rhea, after their separation due to Chad's ambitious company outgrew his father's, causing the two to be on stormy terms. (Get it? Stormy? Because storm penda-)

Chad holds the pendant in high regard because, even though others may think Chad values things very vainly (which he most often does) and determines value by exactly how much it's worth in cash, in reality, he only does so for other people's views and really finds value in things that can't be sold or used by others. Ones that truly don't have a price.

That's right. Chad is actually a really sentimental guy.
