Litalis draws a card: The Star... reversed.

Yeah. Yeah, no. Portland. I mean, it’s tolerable, pretty open-minded compared to the other places I’ve been to, but would I say I love it? Not really. The police response times around here are morbid, and the drug problems run rampant - though I guess that is very much of an international issue at this point. Who can help it, in such hopeless times?

For some reason, however, people were very drawn to my tarot readings. Having set up my stand, I’ve found a steady stream of clients - quite a few returning ones, as well. That’s why I’m there, I guess. A beacon in the midst of… modern day life. Well, I don’t think historically things have been much better. I’ll take what I get.

Funny. My fortune-telling stand really doesn't revolve around telling people the harsh truth of reality, as much as people might think it to be the case. I tell them what they want to hear based on the cards I draw. Some of them want to be dragged. Some of them want to be uplifted. It doesn't always work, but with practice, this is often possible. 

I do this because they want me to. Many people can't accept honesty, as much as they might try to claim they do. I've met one or two people who defy this tendency, but at the end of the day, I do what earns me the most. They crave order and hope in an unjust country - it is what it is.  

Justice reversed.

Wasn't the last one Justice as well? Interesting. Two sides of a coin - two different ways of looking at a situation. How does one read this...

Is my ambition a reversal of my job? Do I just... show people the truth? Again, that's not an easy task. Some end up going insane over this stuff. ...Okay, I guess I've been dwelling on it a bit. I want to see things. I want to know things and share it with the world. It's a form of enlightenment, you see. Maybe I can actually see the future someday. Maybe I climb the Tower of Babel and the world is united under one language. 

Either way...

I'm slightly stuck at the moment. Limited by this mortal body. I'm sure I have the makings of a god...
