Lady Yu's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

This noble lady is currently dwelling in what appears to be some form of neglected housing for scholars that have no family or political backing. In some ways, there really are no differences between my world and this one. Truly, there is still a problem wherein it is difficult to gain support or even notice. I hate to think how difficult it would be for an actual child. But, I am used to harsh training. This is no great matter to me.

Regardless, this was all arranged for me with the help of a beneficiary. It seemed the original owner of this body was recently kicked out of a domicile that was owned by her lover--or perhaps a very close friend? I haven't been able to tell. Unlike in the stories, I have nearly no memories associated with the body that I inhabit now.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Another predicament that the original owner of this body has left to me. This Noble Lady is uncertain what she even did. Perhaps she was a poor student? This Noble Lady admits ignorance regarding what scholars who have not passed their exams can even do for money before they pass and receive a government post. It probably would not pay much. Luckily, this Noble Lady's talent with the Guzheng , the Pipa, and the Erhu remain intact--although the fingers of this body are a bit clumsy.

Again, thanks to This Noble Lady's benefactor, arrangements have been made that This Noble Lady may perform for money. Otherwise it is not clear where any living expenses might have come from. The original owner of this body did not seem to have any familial support. Arrangements have also been made to change the 'major' that this body was concentrating on to classical music. This Noble Lady has been told this is still a perfectly reputable and dignified course of study--and it seems the former owner of this body was ill suited to the study of history or business.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

This Noble Lady was sent through time and space to another world by the King of Wu's venomous sorcerer and minister. There is no telling how the Wu state has effected this world, or if This Noble Lady could even return to mete out justice. Instead, This Noble Lady will have to settle for destroying the Wu state or their counterpart in this world.

How far? My. People of this world seem to lack discipline and resolve. Naturally, This Noble Lady would be willing to die for this cause. After all, this is the burden upon the shoulders of the strong. Although, it seems much work is required. This body still requires training and is unfortunately weak. Most of This Noble Lady's time has been spent in tempering and cultivating the limited Chi this body has.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

This Noble Lady was in a far better place to strike at her enemies before being transported to this world. It's hard to imagine, now. Being surrounded by comrades in the same sect. Being supported by the elders. Living in a body that was full of strength and vitality. Having easy access to things that I was used to...Well. It was hard to imagine all of that ending the way that it did. Death was always the assumption over something as bizarre as this. This Noble Lady didn't even have a chance to face that crooked minister--rather, the ritual and spell must have been cast as This Noble Lady was rushing to confront the King of Wu.
