Movement

Movement is taken immediately before OR after your Action. It cannot be split.

All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense or React more than once to a given Action.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 5 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 5). You also take a point of Mind Damage and suffer a Battle Scar as normal.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a surgery setup for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Outcome 4+ puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.
Failed or Botched attempts may be re-attempted at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Outcome 1+ will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar if it caused one.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed or Botched attempts may be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Wanted by the Kilkenny Pack of Werewolves After nearly killing the alpha of the pack, this contractor is wanted by the Kilkenny Pack, located mainly in Ireland but with a wide sphere of influence. Werewolves will attack at GM-discretion. Leader has 9 attack dice, second has 8, and normal members have 7, and any penalty from physical injuries is reduced by 3. Sprint speed can go to upwards of 50 mph, about 400 feet per round when worked up to a full sprint. -2 dif on any hearing, smelling, or sight checks. Stats can be made as the GM sees fit.

Biography

Ryan Stiller is a 23 y.o. man who spends majority of his free time dedicated to occult research, which now is essentially his second job, and not a hobby. His everyday life, however, was interrupted by what is known to him as "Contracts". Despite the dangers to his life, he continues to move forward and taking part in them. Perhaps, he will one day fulfill his ambition, and finish the research of what is yet to be known to humankind. Or, perhaps, curiosity will, if not kill, maim the cat, leaving him crippled, forced to spend the rest of his life slowly withering away.
