Circumstances describe your situation.
Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.
Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.
Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.
Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.
All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.
You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

His little girl Mimiko, and his wife Mayuri. He'd loved them as dearly as anyone could. How was he to know when he went out to play ball with some of his old friends that he would be coming back to find that they'd vanished while out getting groceries? That sickly smiling face, the blood.. he hadn't thought it was real. That was a concern, but when he saw the smiling woman standing over the corpses of his wife and daughter just before that bitch vanished he knew that he'd never be believed, and if they did believe him they'd do far worse things than just throwing him in the loonie bin, but still.
He was consumed, he spent every waking moment chasing after information on his own but.. he didn't know where to start, and though he could do some digging he was never exactly a scholar, always more of a talker than an A student. Hell, he wouldn't have joined the gang if he thought that he was going to get into Tokyo University, but he had to.. he had to try, he had to keep searching because the cops wouldn't believe him, and if one did.. well.
They'd be just as unprepared as he was, and though he spent his days and nights pursuing this to the point that he was released from his job and left with only enough yen to rent out of a storage shed and eat rice, he wouldn't stop.
Not until he had some inkling that one day, he'd be able to get justice for his little girl, and that he'd be able to protect others from suffering the same fate his family had.
