Raziel Vance is a silver blooded illegal contractor who will risk his life to Discover the truth of his mothers history and his own blood.

He is 27 years old, and often appears as a well dressed man in a black three piece suit with silver lining and a black tie. 6'2 with short slicked back Black (Dyed, naturally silver) hair, clean shaven face and shining silver eyes.

Raziel Vance lives in Maelstrom, a setting where videos of the supernatural go viral every day.

Movement

Movement is taken immediately before OR after your Action. It cannot be split.
You may Free Move (0) feet. Minimum 5 feet.
You may Dash up to an additional (0 feet).
- Dashing penalizes your Action -1 die per 5 feet.
All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Injuries Severity 4+ cause a Battle Scar and require Stabilization

Stabilization is the Injury's main treatment, and each Injury can only be successfully Stabilized once

Unstabilized Injuries worsen by 1 Severity level every half hour

Proper Stabilization

Requires an advanced first aid kit for Severity 4 Injuries, a field surgery kit for Severity 5 Injuries, and a surgery theater for Severity 6+ Injuries.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

You know someone in a specific industry or area of influence, and can lean on them for assistance. Once per Contract, and once per Downtime, you may call in a favor from Jimmy. Your contact is not brainwashed or supernaturally compelled, and they may refuse to do things which are unreasonable or absurd. You may attempt to call in additional favors beyond the first one, but these are not guaranteed, and over-use of your contact may cause you to lose them, as well as create potential Loose Ends.

Vengeful An insult to or an attack on your person simply cannot be tolerated. Each time someone wrongs you or disrespects you in a major way, you must succeed a Self-Control roll to resist taking revenge.

Dark Fate When things go wrong for you, they go very wrong. Any time you roll an Outcome of 0, it counts as a Botch (-1). You cannot use Will to Survive to reduce the Severity of incoming Injuries.

Imbued After accepting your first Invitation to a Contract, you are Imbued, altering the manner in which you learn. After completing a Contract, your learning and conditioning improves rapidly. However, you require the Contracts to advance. You have an indomitable Will to Survive. You may Exert your Mind to improve the Outcome of your Actions. You are highly receptive to therapy and may "cure" your Traumas with counseling on a Downtime.

Jaded You are difficult to disturb, perhaps because of a traumatic past, or perhaps you're just emotionally detached. You only have two Limits, instead of the normal three.

Jack of All Trades You are naturally capable of most things, even without any training. When making a roll which utilizes a Primary Ability that you don’t possess, you do not suffer the standard +1 Difficulty penalty, and you receive +1 dice to the roll.

Beautiful You're quite the specimen! Rolls where your good looks could help are at -2 Difficulty, and social interactions should be role-played accordingly.

Biography

Vance industries was founded by Arthur Vance, Raziel Vance's Grandfather, it originally started out as a business producing technological equipment for hospitals however it grew throughout Arthur Vance and his Sons life, Arthur Vance's Son Jacob Vance was much like his father and expanded its Scope into fields such as industrial engineering and forensic research. however behind closed doors he was secretly dealing with members of the criminal underworld most notably Jimmy, jimmy was an illegal weapons and information dealer who was very close to Jacob he consoled him when his wife died in childbirth and acted like an uncle to his son, Raziel Vance when he was born and was very close to the young Raziel. later when Raziel was about 18 his father died and he learned about his uncles history, and discovered that he enjoyed the risk associated with the criminal underworld and the potential information it can provide it can provide. on the surface we has the young owner of Vance industries but below the surface he is a contractor for hire in the criminal underworld who will take any job. the person responsible for getting him these jobs is Jimmy.

His mothers history is unknown to him as she died when he was born but he knows he has the same strange condition as his mother where he bleeds a shining silver colour, this would have been a problem if he ever had to interact with doctors but the blood also has advanced regenerative properties that solved that issue.
