    Circumstances

    A New ("Old") Backstory
    Given by dae_kianna
Henry, in addition to removing his Outsider status by hacking his way into becoming a U.S. citizen in Maine, is also active in the military as a First Lieutenant.
    Average
    Given by dae_kianna
You can live stably off your money, which was seeded by the Russian government via Hack and is now maintained via your employment in the military. You have access to $2,500 (or equivalent currency) per Contract.
    Alias: Henry Green
    Given by dae_kianna
You have an officially established alternate identity as a US Army Captain, US Army Corps of Engineers. You were born and raised (and trained) in Texas and you have no surviving relatives. Your alias has all proper legal documentation and will hold up to the highest scrutiny. If it is exposed, you may make a Move to replace it.
    Point of Contact: Guilbert Boneva
    Given by SeedofEntropy
You know someone in a specific industry or area of influence, and can lean on them for assistance. Once per Contract, and once per Downtime, you may call in a favor from Guilbert Boniva. This includes up to $10,000 gift, a safe house for downtime, a legal representative, of assistance with transportation. Your contact is not brainwashed or supernaturally compelled, and they may refuse to do things which are unreasonable or absurd. You may attempt to call in additional favors beyond the first one, but these are not guaranteed, and over-use of your contact may cause you to lose them, as well as create potential Loose Ends.

    Conditions

    From Assets and Liabilities
Vengeful An insult to or an attack on your person simply cannot be tolerated. Each time someone wrongs you or disrespects you in a major way, you must succeed a Self-Control roll to resist taking revenge.
Lanky You are particularly tall and have long limbs. Your "touch" range is ten feet instead of the standard five.
Imbued After accepting your first Invitation to a Contract, you are Imbued, altering the manner in which you learn. After completing a Contract, your learning and conditioning improves rapidly. However, you require the Contracts to advance. You have an indomitable Will to Survive. You may Exert your Mind to improve the Outcome of your Actions. You are highly receptive to therapy and may "cure" your Traumas with counseling on a Downtime.
Handsome You have wolfish good looks. Rolls where your good looks could help– be it via sexual attraction, first impression, or trustworthiness– are at -2 Difficulty. Social interactions should be role-played accordingly. Effect activations are unaffected.
    From Maelstrom
Seen Things Your exposure to unspeakable horrors has hardened you. You are at -1 Difficulty to all Trauma rolls. You receive this automatically upon reaching Seasoned status (10 victories), and cannot take it prior to that.

    Biography

Henry was born to a pair of parents in the Officer's Cadre, and took to his place in life like a fish in water. Attending the Empress' Academy, Henry excelled in his duties to the Empress and the Stellar Navy, doing what was asked of him without question or complaint. The Empire's rules were ingrained to him, along with a certain sense of honour. Insults could easily be met with a duel and a blade.

He had been sitting in his seat on his bridge, surrounded by his loyal men and women. And then something happened. The world sheared for a moment. Before he could call for an alert condition... He was sitting in a circle with some girl who looked like she'd never seen a goth trope she didn't like. She held a book in her hand and looked genuinely shocked. And then tried to command him! The gall!

After standing, and grabbing her - She seemed so confused he could walk though her lines on the floor - She was pleased to explain the circumstances to him. She had conducted dark magic to abduct him from his home. She said he was from a book - preposterous! - but the fact he had been taken to a world that hadn't been civilized by the Stellar Navy yet was obvious. The pollution in the air was cloying. But it also meant that his identity papers are worthless, as are his secure digital credits.

He should have put the girl to the blade for her witchcraft against an Officer of the Stellar Navy, but she was a child. Extracting promises that he believed that she would not reveal his existence to anyone, he let her go. At least he had the abandoned structure she'd been using as a hideout for her dark magicks.

On top of that, none of his technology was working. He can fix it, though. He has to.
