Xander Dáinn is a gravetender who will risk his life to become the ultimate Draugr and protect the reputation of the dead by proving to the world that the dead are pure and worthy of respect.

He is 27 years old, lives in a simple shed in an Eastern graveyard, and often appears as tall 6' 5" relatively muscular norseman with long dark hair, black ink tattoos, brown traditional garb, and various different trinkets and accessories.

All-out Sprint: instead of using free Movement or Dash, you may spend your Action and roll Brawn + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. You move (0 + (Outcome x 5) Feet).

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

(Difficulty based on materials and tactics used)

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Anosmia You have no sense of smell, and your sense of taste is extremely limited. All Perception rolls which depend on smell fail automatically, and any Perception rolls which involve smell in some way (such as tasting things) are at +2 Difficulty.

Lanky You are particularly tall and have long limbs. Your "touch" range is ten feet instead of the standard five.

Bounce Back You heal incredibly quickly. Whenever one of your severe Injuries is Properly Stabilized, reduce its Severity by 1. Your stabilized Injuries heal 4 Severity levels per month instead of the standard 2.

Cat-Eyes Your eyes catch the light in the dark like a cat or dog's, granting low-light vision. You suffer no penalty to rolls in low-light situations. You cannot see in pitch blackness.

Corpse Collector Xander was given a challenge by a Harbinger, the Woman in Jewels: He is to bring home the entire skeleton of a mundane creature each Contract until he his tenth win, in order to put them in a collective grave and create a companion for himself.
