Worked all his life in his family winery that was passed on for generations. Lives a comfortable but hardworking life. Has people helping his business and chooses to work the old fashion way rather than rely on only machines. He trusts his family, friends, and workers with his life which ended up biting him in the ass.
His wife was killed by ruffians whom he employed to help them get back on their feet. Because they thought he had a lot of money in his business, they tried to rob him. The ruffians ran away after taking his savings convinced Alastor that there was a robber on the loose. Heartbroken, he did what he could to cope with his loss. Believing them because he is too trusting, he did all he could to find the robber while the real criminals walked free. When his wife whom saw them with the money confronted him, Alastor yelled at her for saying such things and refused to believe that they would do such a thing.
One day, Alastor got a call from the police about a murder at his house when he was on a delivery. He went home immediately to see his 5 sons coming to see him. It turns out that the people that his wife told him about were the ones that murdered her when she confronted them about it the next time they tried to rob him again. While 4 of his sons try to calm him down, his youngest yelled at him and said that if it weren't for his trusting nature, she would still be alive. He also yelled at him that he might as well killed her with his own hands.
In despair, he looked into mythologies and occult books as if it was an addiction. He wanted his wife back. He wanted the mother of his children back. He was desperate to undo the wrongs that he came to a conclusion. He saw the men whom he trusted behind bars but thought it wasn't enough. He had an idea that if they took the life of his wife, they should give up theirs to bring her back again.
