Born in 1968 in Russia. Jaskier grew up poor on the streets of Irkutsk. Ever since he was a boy there was always something different about him, something wrong, broken. Often found trapping rats and torturing them to death, before discarding the corpse.
Ashamed, with no money to send him away, his family left him to his own devices. He worked the factories, ran odd jobs. Eventually after an incident which ended in Jaskier being suspected for the killing of another factory worker, Jaskier was given an option: go to Soviet-era prison for... forever... or get wiped from the books and live on serving the motherland.
Jaskier was given a new post after immense non-detection training, ID-wiping and identity erasure, and typical clandestine conditioning: He was to be a sleeper agent in the United States... an assassian anticipating the escalation of a cold war that never came. He stayed there, for years, for a decade, up until those who employed and handled him... ceased to exist anymore, as the USSR dissolved.
Jaskier though stuck around: he no longer really existed in the world and the only keep-sakes he had to speak of were old horror flicks which, through the years, he got to watch... as he lurked about in the homes of... other people. He ate their food, he watched their movies, and since he couldn't learn anymore he learned from the best.
Jaskier fell in love with the American horror: the cold-war era idea of boogeymans and evil slashers that were crafted by Hollywood to hide the masses from the real horrors that lurked in the world: other nations and other governments. Jaskier then, seeing as how he no longer had any actaul employment: took up a new mantle.
He was gonna be a new terror, no matter what.
