Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.

Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense or React more than once to a given Action.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 5 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 5). You also take a point of Mind Damage and suffer a Battle Scar as normal.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Outcome 4+ puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.
Failed or Botched attempts may be re-attempted at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Biography

Hikaru was first introduced to alcohol when he watched his mother cook with beer. Then he watched her drink wine with the dish and for some reason. He never forgot that moment. Raced to become a bartender and after getting his first job he realized the world is really shit. Everyone was so rude to him, the hiring process was awful and everything about it was bad. He decided to stick to it. Days, weeks, he just kept working in awful conditions. Until one day, he came into work and sat down to clock in, he clocked in and made a customer a drink like normal and when they drank it they started to defend me. It was weird.

Takaru signed this into being on 7/22/24; it is an "on-paper-only" "permissible-per-person" limited liability corporation that exists under his name but he is not held liable legally for any of the actions of the other members--it is essentially a sort of "Boys Club" that exists only for the sake of the Bureau of Onmyo & convivence. It's kinda just a collection of Points of Contacts. - Jack Davidson (Former Cop, not actaully technically a sorcerer though is licensed as a Grade 4 but possesses a revolver with atleast 6 "cursed bullets". Seems to have some sort of way to get more? Needs more Moves to establish. - Falman Ferris (Lawyer, Grade 3 Sorcerer) Ferris is a Grade 3 that doesn't take sorcery or japanese society / superstition very seriously. Falman's cursed technique revolves around "Taking spirits to court" / "Suing spirits"--it's likely some sort of Injure or Traumatize based on conditionals around legal proceedings / finding curses or spirits guilty--many an info power?
