A 2-Victory Newbie Contractor played by Metal in Maelstrom
To all in memory, a message from the departed. Follow your dreams. Even if they’re whimsical. Or silly. Or a little outside the bounds of polite society. Somewhere out there, one old ghost believes in you.
She is 58 years old, lives in a culdesac in Farmington Hills, and often appears as an older woman with greying hair, twinkling blue eyes, and a joyful grin.
Murian Hawthorne lives in Maelstrom, a setting where videos of the supernatural go viral every day.

Conditions describe your state of being.
Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.
Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.
Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

Murian worked as a teacher for years up in Flint for years. Her husband, James, was an assembly line manager for General Motors. When they retired together…Murian thought she had achieved her happy ending. She had a good strong 28 year marriage, a peaceful little life in the suburbs, and a loving family of children and grandchildren. Then her husband died to late stage cancer. The house became lonelier, but she still had her children and grandchildren to entertain. She was saddened at how hard her children were having things…the housing market isn’t what it once was. She did all she could to support her family…giving them Christmas presents, driving the grandchildren to school events. But then Murian’s family moved to Australia for a work opportunity. She only sees them in person about once a year now, and it grieves her. She’s at a point in her life where she’s not sure what to do…it feels like she’s been left behind to wither. But where some people would just waste away, Murian decided she’d just be kindly family to all the women she meets who struggle as she once struggled in her youth. She feels a call to it, and vaguely remembers her own grandmother being a bit of a neighborhood patron. Though Murian’s grandma Eisley Hawthorne…was a bit special. People say she talked to mice. Made things appear when you needed them. Almost like a fairy godmother.
