Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense or React more than once to a given Action.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 5 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 5). You also take a point of Mind Damage and suffer a Battle Scar as normal.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Outcome 4+ puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.
Failed or Botched attempts may be re-attempted at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Outcome 1+ will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar if it caused one.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed or Botched attempts may be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Biography

A 24-year-old half-siren from Idaho, Scyleia Rivera's mother is a siren and her father is a larger-than-life man and her hero. While her parents are incredibly eccentric, she didn't feel the need to ever learn how to talk to people when her parents do it for her and others seem to gravitate towards her anyway, even with her lack of social skills.

She has always had an interest in games and comics and anime and all that other geek shit, and also finds herself quite enjoying spending her time alone, not that she doesn't hang out with friends sometimes. It's just that when all your friends feel...fake...almost as if they are being forced to spend time with you due to some lingering aura around you, it doesn't quite feel as satisfying as it seems like it should.

It doesn't help with her anxiety that she sees the supernatural being persecuted and antagonized every time she looks online. Vampire actors being starved behind the scenes, were-people being abused and treated like animals in slave trades, and literal golden geese and fairies being milked for all they're worth. It's horrible. And she NEEDS to stop it. Life has taught her that whatever she wants, she'll get it. And so now she wants to test that little theory out.
