Kalt Afflerbach is a Elf artefact Curator who will risk her life to become the ultimate Demon Slayer and Regain her memories and abilities while killing all undead and demonic creatures infecting the world.

She is 1057 years old, lives in a treehouse in the nice fields of Munich, Germany, and often appears as A "young" woman in travelling garbs and wearing multiple bags and a large staff, with a tired and indifferent expression, green-turquiose eyes that bear wisdom beyond the years of the average person, short black dyed hair with lines of silver underneath and large dagger-like ears and a stocky backpack.

  • (MADDENING) Paranoia You have noone left to trust in your endless life, and so have developed a natural distrust of everyone around you, especially humans, and are always on edge looking for threats, due to your own preservation instincts and elf biases converging. You must roll Self Control in order to let another person remain in a position where they could easily hurt you, or to allow someone else to perform a task which is necessary to keep yourself safe.
  • (CONDITION) Elvish Dementia You've been alive for so long all of time and space seems to bleed into each other... Days feel like seconds, Years like minutes and centuries like mere hours.... Your mind is a sieve, and while you can recall broad strokes, committing anything more detailed to memory is quite difficult. You must roll Mind Difficulty 6 in order to remember any details (locations, names, address, where you left something that you set down, physical descriptions of things, bits of information you were told, etc…) If you fail the roll, you may Exert your mind to remember, but if you botch the roll, you are stuck.

    Circumstances

    Circumstances describe your situation.

    Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.

    Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

    Conditions

    Conditions describe your state of being.

    Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.

    Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.

    Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

    From Assets and Liabilities
    Imbued After accepting your first Invitation to a Contract, you are Imbued, altering you in several ways. After completing a Contract, your learning and conditioning improves rapidly. However, you require the Contracts to advance. You have an indomitable Will to Survive. You may Exert your Mind to improve the Outcome of your Actions. You are highly receptive to therapy and may "cure" one of your Traumas with counseling on a Downtime.
    Focused You’re cool under pressure. Stress from Mind Damage is reduced by 2.
    Forgetful Your mind is a sieve, and while you can recall broad strokes, committing anything more detailed to memory is quite difficult.     Pathetic You are so pathetic, no one takes you seriously as a threat. As long as your Brawn rating is 1, opponents must roll Mind and achieve an Outcome of 4 or higher to attack you instead of other targets in Combat.
    Avoidance You are so off-putting, that most people just avoid you. As long as your Charisma rating is 1, you may Exert your Mind to cause someone to ignore or avoid you in a social situation. Any Stealth rolls you make as a part of that attempt get +2 to their Outcome.
    Additional Language: English You are fluent in an additional language You can speak, read, and write in the chosen language. You may be given a roll to decipher some amount of meaning from a related language at the GMs discretion.

    Loose Ends

    Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.

    Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.

    All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.

    You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.
