As a young man in the Appalachian mountains, Riggy Giggins was a normal boy. That was, until he had a particularly moving dream one night. He saw a being of gold and silver in clouds far above. The being told him that he was the god of treasure and possessions, and that if he wanted to be successful in this world, he'd need to find the treasures the being placed there for him. He awoke soon after, with a new plan and a sunny disposition, knowing he'd be a rich man very soon. After making the trek to San Francisco, he began the search for gold, about half a decade after the gold rush had already stopped. 50 years later, he still finds himself searching for the prized treasure of "The Shiny One".
After having so many dreams involving Ol' Shiner, Giggins has come up with a moral code that would best appease him.
1: Modern technology must be avoided when possible, as Ol' Shiner's treasure was made long before then, and everything now is a mere mockery. 2: Always look for ways to make cash, since riches are Ol' Shiner's top priority. 3: The only accepted wealth in Ol' Shiner's eyes is cash or ore. Ore is preferred.
