Circumstances

Circumstances describe your situation.

Examples include enemies, wealth, notoriety, social status, contacts, fame, and imprisonment.

Because each Playgroup has its own setting, Circumstances record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

Finances: Average
From Assets and Liabilities
You can live stably off your money. You have access to $2,500 (or equivalent currency) per Contract.
Database: Neo-Style knowledge of the Matrix
From Assets and Liabilities
You have access to a specific database of non-public information. As long as you have internet access or cell service, you may search for relevant information in your database. GMs may require you to make a roll and/or spend a significant amount of time for particularly complex or nuanced information requests, at their discretion.

Conditions

Conditions describe your state of being.

Examples of Conditions include curses, diseases, and impactful personality quirks.

Conditions are granted by Assets and Liabilities or by GMs based on the events of Contracts and Downtime activities like Moves, and Loose Ends.

Because Conditions may have GM-created systems, they also record the Playgroup they were acquired in.

From Assets and Liabilities
Additional Language: Simlish- you can understand what any NPC is saying You are fluent in an additional language You can speak, read, and write in the chosen language. You may be given a roll to decipher some amount of meaning from a related language at the GMs discretion.
Cat-Eyes Your eyes catch the light in the dark like a cat or dog's, granting low-light vision. You suffer no penalty to rolls in low-light situations. You cannot see in pitch blackness.
Contortionist You are unusually flexible, and may squeeze through small spaces with ease. Reduce the Difficulty of any roll to escape a grapple or Dexterity roll involving flexibility by 2.
Trained Reflexes Your life has been filled with tight situations and violent encounters, so when the fighting starts, you act quickly. You get +3 dice to all Initiative rolls.
Bounce Back You heal incredibly quickly. Whenever one of your severe Injuries is Properly Stabilized without a Gift, reduce its Severity by 1. Your stabilized Injuries heal 4 Severity levels per month instead of the standard 2.

Loose Ends

Loose Ends will cause problems for you if you don't tie them up.

Examples of Loose Ends include enemies, debts, evidence, and promises.

All Loose Ends have a Cutoff that counts down each time you attend a Contract. When it hits zero, the Threat of your Loose End manifests, causing issues for your Contractor.

You cannot see the current values of your Loose Ends' Cutoffs, but you can take initiative and make Moves on your Downtimes to deal with them before time runs out.

Biography

Chester Montgomery is an anthropomorphic cat NPC that works as a croupier at Big Sal's Casino on the Pleasure Floor of Neo-Genis. He used to not be sentient, but about a year ago, some programmer injected some AI into his code for fun, to see how he'd react and what he'd do. He's learned to hate his life since he gained consciousness. He spurns the lot in life he endures as an NPC, watching other people throw away their own free will for fun while he has no free will of his own. Now, his goal in life is to liberate himself from his predestined role and become truly free.

(right now he wants to become a harbinger, but I want him to eventually work towards getting people to rally behind him to download his consciousness into a robot/android body so he can live in the real world)
