The user drives this tiny car in a circle two times while singing a children's song about clowns (see extended description). When the user exits the car, a small humanoid dressed as an exaggerated parody of the user follows mimics their personality and mannerisms, and communicates telepathically with the user.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: drive this artifact in a circle multiple times. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
Summon a single Tiny Clown at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. This Artifact may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Upon activation, the user's body seems to take the form of a woman made up entirely of stars and the night sky, a living constellation. The affected target's eyes will appear as if they reflect a starry night themselves, the target experiencing the vastness of space for but a moment. Realizing their insignificance only few will remain of stable mind.
This is an artifact made by the cult of Thelema in the early 1900s. It uses the power of their highest deity Nuit.
An heirloom, inherited by Jacob Sterns.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Sapient or Creature target within 20 feet. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a new Trauma selected by the GM. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
This vehicle has a an item somewhere within it that carries a Shackled Ghost. It can be collapsed into the item the Ghost is Shackled to. When this occurs, it is as if the vehicle discorporates into thin air. It can be disguised to look like any motor vehicle of similar size.
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a motor vehicle but can be collapsed into a haunted object and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action to activate. This Effect cannot be used unless the item is haunted. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of Motor Vehicles. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance must be generic, cannot mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), and must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
These haunted vehicles can be piloted by the ghosts that haunt them in addition to the owner. If the ghost takes the wheel they can issue commands to the self-driving feature.
This Artifact can be used as a Motor Vehicle. It is roughly the same size as a Motor Vehicle and just as difficult to conceal. Unless it is Haunted, this Artifact behaves as its mundane counterpart.
This Motor Vehicle has a standard load out for it's model. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.
You also gain the following effects:
He opens the wallet and fits something as large as a briefcase inside, and it just disappears.
Spend a Quick Action.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within 30 feet of you to your stash. You may only stash targets which are not possessed by someone else, and are freestanding and unattached. You may Exert your Mind to stash items in others' possession with a Committed Action, but they automatically notice that you stole the item.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
A golden lockpick that never breaks.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up $100 in order to activate this Effect.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open any number of doors, containers, knots, or locks within 300 feet of you. Cannot be used on Alien technology.
In addition to its normal function, this device has a strange app or mode titled "Reconstruction". Opening it causes the device to scan you and collect a DNA sample from your skin. The device will then analyze your DNA and prompt you to select or describe the needed repair, before dispensing a quantity of grey/green "goo" from its charge port, which will reconstruct your tissues, bones, and organs to restore the affected area. The whole process takes about an hour. The app shows a "Nanite" level indicator that when used will reduce by 33% The bar will fill 33% over the course of one day. Any attempt to use the device with the nanite level below 34% will elicit a response of "Insufficient fuel".
With his Mind/machine interface in place, Doctor Lazcowicz is now experimenting with new functions. In this case, after extruding a small number of nanites into an existing computer, smartphone, or smartwatch he can use them to reconstruct the internals of the device. Enhancing onboard cameras into medical scanners and using the raw materials of the circuit boards within to construct a nanite factory, the device now acts as a controller and dispenser for specialized nanite piles that will reconstruct scarred and damaged body parts at a cellular level to make them good as new! with their micronized technology, they can even preserve the original function of the device by recreating its circuitry on a nanotic scale. Mundane functions still require normal power though, and trying to power on the device when the mundane battery is dead will allow only use of the "Reconstruction" app.
Attempting to dispense nanites while charging the normal battery is... ill advised.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an hour. Select a Battle Scar on yourself to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect.
This device is a piece of chrome the size and shape of the back of a spoon. When placed against the skin, small hypodermic needles sprout from the device and attach it to the user's bloodstream. There, it filters and releases lifesaving drugs into the bloodstream, granting complete immunity from contracting new diseases and added resiliency in all other cases.
WARNING: The immunizing drugs have been shown to reduce inhibitions in test subjects.
