Crafted Artifact

T.R.E 1.1 - Angus' Smartwatch

A Pixel watch with a specialized app that allows a user to select Battlescars on their body and "print" specialized nanite repair compound that will heal them. It has been modified to emit a stream of "warming" nanites into the bloodstream to counteract Angus' blood freezing.

In addition to its normal function, this device has a strange app or mode titled "Reconstruction". Opening it causes the device to scan you and collect a DNA sample from your skin. The device will then analyze your DNA and prompt you to select or describe the needed repair, before dispensing a quantity of grey/green "goo" from its charge port, which will reconstruct your tissues, bones, and organs to restore the affected area. The whole process takes about an hour. The app shows a "Nanite" level indicator that when used will reduce by 33% The bar will fill 33% over the course of one day. Any attempt to use the device with the nanite level below 34% will elicit a response of "Insufficient fuel".

With his Mind/machine interface in place, Doctor Lazcowicz is now experimenting with new functions. In this case, after extruding a small number of nanites into an existing computer, smartphone, or smartwatch he can use them to reconstruct the internals of the device. Enhancing onboard cameras into medical scanners and using the raw materials of the circuit boards within to construct a nanite factory, the device now acts as a controller and dispenser for specialized nanite piles that will reconstruct scarred and damaged body parts at a cellular level to make them good as new! with their micronized technology, they can even preserve the original function of the device by recreating its circuitry on a nanotic scale. Mundane functions still require normal power though, and trying to power on the device when the mundane battery is dead will allow only use of the "Reconstruction" app.

Attempting to dispense nanites while charging the normal battery is... ill advised.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an hour. Select a Battle Scar on yourself to treat.

The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect.

HAL-ley Davidson Motorcycle

Created and held by Hal A. Kaldwin.
A Motorcycle with nothing crazy at first going on with it as it has simply the appearance of a Harley-Davidson Pan-America Adventure Motorcycle, along with the inscribed insiginia on the side of seat of a H.A.K Initials

With the Connection Hal has to his bike now, it has transcended into a spiritual level now to where the thing can never be broken and will always tell Hal where to find her, nothing can break their bond.

This Artifact cannot be broken.

This Artifact's creator is always aware of the direction and distance to this Artifact.

  • "Cannot be broken" means that damage cannot render the Artifact's Effects unusable, nor can it cease to be used for its primary mundane purpose, if it has one.

Mask of Corvus

Created and held by Jason Kyle.
A sleek, metallic insulated modernised plague gas mask that can lock and unlock its hinges to allow it the user to speak, with soft mesh to cover most of the users face. It also has inlayed speakers to allow the the users to project their voices in a comfortable audio. the eye sockets glow LED light through the mesh in the direction where the user's eyes are looking when in use.

The mask filters out any impurities in the body with a large puff of black smoke out of the user, allows the user to see other impurities in the body and provides temporary immunity.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +2 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Inoculation: If you succeed a Body resistance roll against an Effect, you are immune to that Effect for the next 24 hours.
  • Internal Awareness: You are automatically aware of and may diagnose any disease, toxin, drug, or similar which enters your system.
  • Purge Toxins: You may take a Severity-1 Injury to cancel the effect of any non-Alien drug, poison, or toxin in your system, as long as you are aware of its existence.

  • These bonuses apply only to Body rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to other contexts such as attacks made while under the Creature Transformation Effect.

F-p7 2074 edition Handheld gold-slug railgun

Created and held by Dr. Scab.
A handheld railgun, worn and repaired but.. Thanks to some creative substitutions, mostly functional.

Handle and receiver of black polycarbonate plastic and metal, as pistols in earlier centuries often were. The distinction is particularly a large capacitor slung up where the hammer would be. Instead of a barrel, it's got two metal rods, one over the other, reinforced on the top and bottom with a black casing.

A worn placard on the side reads "United Republic of the Americas".

This Artifact can be used as a handgun. It is roughly the same size as a handgun and just as difficult to conceal.

Attack by rolling Dexterity + Firearms, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal 4 Weapon Damage. The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Keyhole: Any bullet that kills your target tumbles through their body and may strike a target in a 90 degree angle behind them. Any damage beyond that needed for the kill is applied to the secondary target.

  • Excess keyhole damage does not reapply the weapon's damage bonus and is affected by Armor as normal. The secondary target may React to the tumbled bullet if they have a Gift which lets them do so.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.
  • Rifles are +1 Difficulty to use in melee range. Sniper Rifles are +3 Difficulty to use without a tripod or in melee range. Setting up a tripod takes an Action.

Stellar Navy Fleet Officer's Uniform

Created and held by Henry Armitage.
A tailoured uniform made of a soft, black fabric. The material betrays an inner strength, turning away blade and bullet with ease. It has a foreign looking patch on both shoulders - Some kind of an animal curling around what appears to be a star system of sorts? It has rank insigna pinned to the lapel, and the name 'H. Armitage' over one of the breasts. It has a lot of pockets. It has an onboard artifical intelligence whose primary purpose is ~~to make dry commentary~~ to assist the operator. Henry's made certain modifications to its persona.

Henry's uniform is made of a nearly unbreakable material, and syncs to the implants in his head.

The onboard AI, Lith, is capable of autolocomotion in an emergency, as well as transmitting her location to Henry at all times. Now that the proper connection is reconnected, Henry is unwilling to lose it.

This Artifact cannot be broken.

If this Artifact is lost and in no one’s possession, it finds its way back to its creator during the next Downtime.

This Artifact's creator is always aware of the direction and distance to this Artifact.

This Artifact's creator must have it with them to have restful sleep. They cannot regain Mind or Source while separated from this Artifact.

  • "Cannot be broken" means that damage cannot render the Artifact's Effects unusable, nor can it cease to be used for its primary mundane purpose, if it has one.

Setting down the item to be upgraded along with a rod of carbon on top of it to serve as resources, a set of phased arrays in the cuff of his wrist begin to scan over the object, slowly disintegrating the carbon and integrating it into the object, upgrading it as they go. Carbon isn't quite the right material to use - even transforming it into other elements to use - but it tends to break down within the day.

Expend a point of Battery and spend a minute. Select a Device within arm's reach. Can be used on Alien technology. You must use up a rod of pure carbon in order to activate this Effect. Can be used on Armor.

Lasts the next day. Your target receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +3 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. If it is a piece of Armor, it instead receives half that amount as bonus armor rating, rounded up. If an upgraded shield and armor are both worn, the upgrade bonus does not stack with itself.

Upgraded weapons count as any material your opponent might be particularly vulnerable to. Upgraded Armor cannot be circumvented by called shots. Upgraded Devices do not run out of fuel or energy.

After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.

  • Upgrading Alien Devices does not add bonus dice to any rolls related to the Device’s passive or activated Effects.
  • Exhaustion penalties and duration stack. If you activate this Effect or another Effect with Exhaustion, your penalty will worsen, and the duration is increased by one hour.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used. The same is true for extra dice.
  • Extra dice from this Effect do not apply to Gift activation rolls.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Henry taps a small control over his right collarbone twice, and his suit suddenly fades into a shimmer. After a moment, the shimmer spreads to his hands and face, leaving only a barely perceptible haze where the man once stood. After a moment further, this haze fades away entirely, leaving nothing.

"Field repairs are difficult work, especially with the primitive tools of this accursed world. The patches on the holomatrix are exceedingly sensitive - I'll have to be gentle with it, especially when it's enabled. If it gets disrupted it'll need to recalibrate again, which takes over a stellar rotation. Even now it's not calibrating right - I can still see it when it's active, especially when moving. But it'll have to do for now."

Update - Fixed the holomatrix. It's properly stable, now.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.

  • Sight:You are completely obscured from sight. All attempts to detect you via sight fail. Attempts via other senses where sight would assist are rolled at -2 dice.

While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.

You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.

  • You may only switch this Effect on or off once per Round on your initiative as a Free Action.

Henry extends his arm straight, and, holding a small source of zinc in the same hand, points with his index finger directly at the target. His arm drags back and forth slightly, looking for sensitive electronics inside.

"The automated lensing systems seem absolutely shot. At least they're pointing forward-ish. It's a lot less handy, but I can effectively 'aim' them at the target. It's not entirely unlike aiming a gun, actually. The matter forge isn't working quite right either, but that's fine. Lith can just strip the electrons needed locally. I'd just rather they not be from me."

The cyberwarfare suite is controlled by an onboard AI, which Henry was very happy to finally get working. Even if they bicker some. For example, Lith will never admit failing a hack herself. It's just Henry moving his hand the wrong way while she was working. When he does hold his arm steady enough, though, Lith is able to read and write electron states directly in the device's memory. This permits her to influence the digital state of a device directly. By reflex, she ensures she won't be detected for the operation of the mission.

Spend 2 Actions to activate. Select a Computer within 20 feet. Does not work on Alien technology. You must use up a small amount of zinc in order to activate this Effect. Roll Dexterity + Firearms, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6. The hacking roll and their defensive roll are both Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.

Your hack cannot be discovered by system administrators or firewall software for a number of hours equal to your Outcome on the initial roll.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The onboard sensor suite is coming online; the onboard chemical analysis suite is able to continually sample the air and provide a readout to the operator, and the sound sensor array can rapidly analyze even the slightest of sounds.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Smell: Your nose is highly sensitive and can differentiate between scents the way a dog can, as well as recognize things you have smelled before.
  • Hearing: You automatically know the origin location of any sound you hear, and you can tell which Action caused the sound.

Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.

  • Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.

Henry places his hand over an object, and his hand begins to twitch. His eyes are half closed, and he sees not the world, but a set of gravitation waves.

For reasons unknown, an AI is unable to do this. It is left on the operator to steer the analysis suite though the planes of gravitons, to seek out the past. With it, the operator can determine where it's been (although his suit's assist automatically compiles that into coordinates) and an image of the last individuals to use it.

Spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Dexterity + Investigation at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • You receive GPS Coordinates, allowing you to discern where this object has recently been.
  • You receive a visual description telling you who has used this object recently.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The AMS intertics allow precise, fine-grained control of microgravity fluxations. By taking advantage of these, a Fleet Officer can move as the situation demands.

It's an impressive sight, seeing a full-sized man go from standing still to moving full tilt.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.

You may ascend into the air and fly using your mind. Your Free Movement is Mind x5 feet/Round, including vertically. You cannot Dash. When sprinting, roll Mind and add your rating in Mind plus 1 to the outcome, multiply by 5 to find your sprint speed. Your encumbrance limit is 10 lbs per point of Mind.

You are subject to the following effects while gliding or flying:

  • Earthbound: You cannot fly or glide in an atmosphere thin enough to be unbreathable.
  • Weight-Limited: This Effect is suppressed any time you are over-encumbered.

  • Any penalties to dice or movement, including from Encumbrance, are applied as normal. If your movement is reduced to 0 due to encumbrance, you will begin to sink down to the ground.
  • You may activate this Effect while in midair, allowing you to slow and survive any free fall.

Lith parses all audio signals picked up though the Expanded Sensor Suite, automatically running them though a translation matrix if the have common tags indicating they're a form of higher-level communication. She then relays this back to Henry along with other environmental cues.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You may understand and communicate to humans and Sapient beings as if you are fluent in a relevant language.

  • The target of "human" refers to any target that speaks a human language.

Henry takes a seat in front of the workbench, letting out a breath. The materials assembled, there was only the last step. Transferring control over to Lith, he tried to relax.

Activating the AAIA protocols requires embedded complicated arrays of nanotechnology into the item in question, and the only good source is currently the forges inside of Henry's bones. It's an unpleasant process, having your bones mined. But one must grit their teeth and tolerate it. Occasionally, various tools from the workbench are used, using copper and silicon in the place of missing pieces.

At the end, assuming the process worked as intended, the item lifts off, emitting an ultrasonic burst identifying its serial number and the fact it's currently slaved to Lith.

Stellar Navy regulations strictly prohibit the allowance of artificial intelligence operating independently of its master. However, as with all regulations, they can be bent, or broken, in emergency situations. AAIA Protocols are a set of protocols that allow such independent operation.

Typically Henry could activate them verbally, but a malfunction in one of the coproceessors in his suit leaves it unwilling to activate the protocols automatically. A manual process is... unpleasant.

Take a Severity-1 Injury and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside a rolling luggage bag (50 liters). This Effect cannot be used unless the user is in front of an electronics workbench. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you you suffer the 'lost hand (left) battle scar, and the item you are attempting to animate is damaged. You must use up a set of carbon rods, along with a small pile of copper and silicon in order to activate this Effect.

Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. This Artifact can maintain a max of 4 targets animated at once.

Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:

  • Awareness: Animated targets are capable of perceiving the world around them within reasonable limits. Animated objects can communicate information back to you by ultrasonic bursts.
  • Movement: Animated targets can use an existing method of locomotion (wheels, etc); otherwise they can move across the ground or hover up to any height in the air at 40 feet per Round.
  • Combat: Animated objects are able to take offensive actions in combat. If they are a weapon, they receive bonus damage based on their weapon stats. GMs may add additional damage bonuses (or reductions) at their discretion depending on the size and material composition of the animated object.
  • Artifacts: Animated Artifacts can take actions using their own Effects. They do not have any Mind or Source, but you can Exert your Mind to "charge" them with Source. They may hold a maximum of 3 Source to use.
  • Ability Use: If an action requires a roll, Animated objects have a dice pool of 7 when performing a task for which they were designed, and a dice pool of 4 for taking any other actions.
  • Toughness: Animated targets are as easy to destroy as they were prior to being animated. If destroyed, the effect ends.
  • Following Orders: Animated objects are controlled by the GM, and will follow any commands you give them, as long as they don't require problem-solving.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the user's left hand is disassembled with a set of lasers, exposing the bone. They then begin to remove some marrow from inside, fusing it into the item being animated. This is an exceedingly painful process.

  • Animated objects must communicate verbally, and they must be near enough for you to hear them in order to communicate.
  • A hulking, car-sized statue might get a damage bonus of +4 if it hits, whereas a feather duster might have their damage capped at 0. Multiple attacking animated objects use mob rules.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • A task for which an object was designed might include a broom sweeping, a gun shooting things, a car driving, a towel rubbing up on stuff, etc.
  • Animated objects may be more or less susceptible to certain attacks at GMs discretion. A scarecrow golem would be easily destroyed by a sword (or fire). An animated suit of armor may not fear bullets but could be smashed to bits with a hammer. A full bronze statue is largely indestructible but might have difficulty standing up if toppled.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Shade Tech Trench Coat + De'BoosT Chrome Rider Deluxe + Nanomades Talotech

Created by Allister Wildheart, given to Luci Alessi.
A black hooded trench coat with an inordinate amount of biker patches. The back of the jacket has a stitched in denim leather logo of the Frikkie De'Boos Extermination Corp. There's almost a constellation of stars embedded in the trenchcoat, and when not looking directly at it, the constellation seems to move, the little specs of light drifting around into different forms. Sewn into the lining of the collar there is some silver and blue embroidery depicting a loop of numbered boxes starting at 0 and going up to 3. Each box has a small symbol behind it. Has a small patch of cotton that smells faintly of squid and general foods. On the left sleeve near the wrist are the letters "V.C" when pressed would open up a hologram keyboard with the following words "Input Code."
Crafted by Bankston Battle

The user takes the device composed of 4 separate Large werewolf K9s connected to a small computer, and plunges the teeth rapidity into the skin of their target following the instructions on the small hand held to micro-inflecting the target with lycanthropy to induce a complete body restructure. this process is excruciatingly painful and straining as the body is forcefully contorted and bones are snapped into place. the target suffers feverous hallucinations of a full blood moon, as they fight back the urge to hunt.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.

You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts until you either activate a new disguise, or choose to end the effect.

The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise may directly mimic the appearance of a specific individual. You cannot alter your clothes. You may add inhuman features to your disguise. Your disguise can alter your smell, DNA, and other aspects that are not perceivable via human senses. This does not conceal you against investigative Effects. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.

You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.

You may Exert your Mind and spend a minute to apply a disguise to a target. The target can Resist your attempt. The disguise lasts until you choose to end the Effect and counts as a Battle Scar. All the same restrictions on the disguise’s appearance apply.

After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

  • A performance check is generally required to pass with people who know the individual you're mimicking.
  • While you can add inhuman features, they are aesthetic only. Think star trek alien, monstergirl, demon, etc. Does not grant things such as a prehensile tail, an extra damaging brawl attack, improved senses, etc.
  • ‘Appearance’ includes voice, bone structure, skin quality, hair length and color, eye color, muscle tone, flesh texture, and generally anything perceivable about your body.
Crafted by Viktor Caetano ("Lex")

As the user activate the program on the watch a bright light would appear from the watch for a brief second before dimming down as a light blue shimmer ingulfs the user and a timer on the watch starts ticking down it starts at "1 Hour, 59 Minutes, 48 Seconds."

The code itself is rather normal, but whatever the Protocol is placed into is supernaturally enhanced when the code is activated that causes a force field to expand from the user onto the person.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 4 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

The barrier will fall after two hours, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.

A Neckerchief is a core part of a chef's kit. Allowing them to cool down from the sweat, providing a way to wipe away sweat, also being able to be used to wrap around wounds and injury, with it, though, one will also find there's another core component to it. Allowing one to wipe their mouths without staining their outfits! This neckerchief, specially designed, can do so much more though, increasing one natural health over time and allowing one to withstand many illnesses and foodborne disease!

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +4 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Instant Vitamins: You may Exert your Mind to convert your bonus resistance dice into additional Outcome to any Body resistance roll.

The neckerchief, unrolled, is designed to be the perfect size for use as a triangular bandage for first aid. This neckerchief, well seasoned with being near Bu Fang when he was cooking with Squid and cuttlefish, this leads it to developing and taking on the aspects of such creatures. Taking it and wrapping it around the wound, the injury and scar starts to feel ticklish, then it starts to visibly heal and restore itself to its original state, though there is a rather intense itch for that moment.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Battle Scar on yourself to treat.

The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect.

After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.

  • Exhaustion penalties and duration stack. If you activate this Effect or another Effect with Exhaustion, your penalty will worsen, and the duration is increased by one hour.

Tiny nano machines swarm out of the ring and cover the users body in a thin sheet. The tiny bug like bots arrange themselves into a latticework over the user and once all are in place thin little cuts are made along the users skin in square patterns. Tiny rivers of blood well up at all locations of the nanites and are quickly sucked into the nanomachines, they then start cutting the small squares of the skin and prying them up the tiny bits of dermis sticking to the muscle and sinew underneath but being pulled anyways until they eventually come free. Unable to patchwork skin on the eyeball the bots flood into the occular cavity and surround the eye forming a kind of sheen over the cornea and feeding it visual info while the effect is activated. Each bug holds the square of skin over itself like a kind of card. When activated they flip the skin cards around to the underside where a hazy reflection of the surrounding area is put forward on the other side of the skin card.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action.

You are obscured in one of the following manners. Lasts 30 minutes.

  • Sight:You are partially obscured from being noticed by sight. All attempts to detect you using sight are rolled at a -3 dice penalty, and all attempts to detect you where sight would assist are rolled at -1 penalty. Anyone who detects you cannot determine any visual details about you beyond your general shape.

While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Tiny stadium bugs flipping skin cards.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.

The ring on Polamedes right hand starts to glow and grow until it is the size of a large dinner plate. Thin strands launch themselves from the now enlarged ring and hook into the flesh of the arm. The skin from finger to elbow flays backwards in strips like a swissroll. Under the skin tiny nanomachines start to assemble into a latticework, tightly packed but slowly expanding struggling to contain a large glowing blue energy. As the energy builds the ligaments in the elbow pop and shred and are replaced with thin strands of nanomachines support fibers. The forearm expands outward pulsing with energy, ballooning before causing it to collapse back in on itself releasing a large blue-black beam of electric-plasma that fires from the arm towards the target. The super charged beam of energy shoots towards its target, anything hit with the beam will slowly start disintegrating as the molecular structure holding it together is ripped apart and the cohesion between cells comes undone.

Afterwards the skin strips hang loose before the tiny bots start punching holes in the stipes and then threading them together with slimy stitches. Once all stripes are restitched the disconnected hands fingers break backwards pulling themselves back towards the wrist and reconnecting.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this Damage.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Skin peeling off arm to make cannon..

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Tiny nano bugs emerge from the ring and encircle the hand of the user.
The hand is severed and rapidly transported to the site of the jump once there voxel cubes emerge from it and form the portal.
The stump from the hand bleeds out blue black voxel discharge and blood while forming into the other end of the portal.
Once the user enters the portal they are slowly dissolved into voxels and those bits are transported unseen to the other end of the portal, where the user is reconstituted block by block.
Starting with the inside organs and ending with the clothing.
Finally the hand reattaches to the stump and the portal of voxels falls to the ground discolors into blood.

The first link in what hopes to be a long chain. A single node that will hopefully ensure the creation of more nodes. Making the conceptual reality, Polamedes starts building a chain that he will use to alter the very foundations of this world. Starting small a short hop from point to point.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 75 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically.

You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.

Instead of physically passing through the air, you are teleported directly to your destination. Does not allow you to go through walls, cages, or grapples.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see “The user is viscerally deconstituted and reconstituted at their entry and exit point.”.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • If you are Encumbered, the maximum range is cut in half. If Encumbrance has reduced your total movement to 0, you cannot activate this Effect.
  • vertical jump height measures to the bottom of your feet, so your total vertical reach is at least a body length greater.
  • Rolls to land safely will generally be Athletics, but GMs may call for a different roll at their discretion if it makes sense for the specific circumstances.
  • You must be on a surface of some kind in order to activate this Effect; it cannot be activated while in mid-air.
  • You may only use this Effect once per Round of combat, regardless of any Enhancements you have taken.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

A simple silver ring with a single blue box with the number 0 etched into it. Uses Ram to power uses of it.

Expend a point of Battery and spend 1 minute. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see The finger that the ring is applied too has the skin peel back around the ring and is fleenced all the way to the palm. In the opening thousands of tiny insects (nanomachines) flood out of the ring and into the opening created in the hand. Tiny lumps can be seen under the skin traveling into the body of the one they are healing. While healing the target the nanobots can be felt crawling within the targets body and are puked out upon completion..

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • Unstabilized wounds do not degenerate during treatment.

The one bearing this map kneels, and holds it tightly in their hands. They close their eyes, and let out a breath.. and their mind slides into the Dreamlands. To people observing, the traveler appears to simply sleep kneeling.

To the one in the Dreamlands, they are in an unmapped part of the Dreamlands. The world around them is raw chaos, ever-shifting. It requires an incredible act of will to force this to resolve into something that can be understood. For not only are all potentials represented here, all times are. With focus, one can will the chaos into an image of something that happened in the past.

Crafted by Luci Alessi

Being so connected to the Well, Luci had long earned its protection from outside harm, but has grown to instead decide on shedding that facet from herself to infuse that energy into other objects or artifacts.

Rolling inky shadow rolls around on the inside of the object it's been infused into- commonly a piece of clothing. If that piece of clothing is hit by an attack, the shadowy refuse inside of the clothing will reflexively react, similar to reactive armor. It is concealed in this circumstance. If this artifact is upgraded to allow called shots not to be circumvented, shadowy blobs of ink will sprout from the various openings in the clothing piece to swat aside attacks.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You have 6 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. Called Shots may circumvent your Armor, depending on its coverage.

The process takes quite a bit of time, as Luci must properly bind this object to its ideal image by bathing it in The Well. A process that, if witnessed by a normal person, would likely result in some minor traumatic occurrences. Luci watches over the item the entire time to make sure it is not swallowed up into the inky mess. A lengthy sweat-inducing endeavor, but by its end, when Luci pulls the item from the reservoir, it is all worth it.

The items in question will sport a dark tint on the paint job and if Luci desires it, she can make its primary or secondary colors as dark as she wants. The symbol of The Well, a fragmented snowflake that closely resembles broken glass, will appear embossed somewhere visibly on the item, marking it as improved.

The Well is oblivion and vice versa. There is no being or creature exempt from the prices that it exacts upon those that meet it uncordially. And like a hook, when it sinks its fangs into you, it will rip you root and all at even the slightest weakness.

The Well is also eternal. As long as the universe turns and toils, and unless someone has the power to circumvent or mimic the powers of Oblivion, upgrades items will persist ad infinitum.

Idealism was always thought to exist solely in concept, to associate reality with mental ideals as opposed to material objects. That somewhere in the cosmic lands above, a perfect image of this "thing" exists, and only its material imitations are founded in "reality". But what if a material object could be elevated closer to the status of its ideal perfect image? A question Luci had asked herself for a period, and while it took some time, she managed to find a way.

This Artifact has been upgraded.

This Artifact receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +3 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. While it is upgraded, the item cannot be destroyed. Upgraded Armor cannot be shredded. If it is a piece of Armor, it instead receives half that amount as bonus armor rating, rounded up.

Upgraded weapons count as any material your opponent might be particularly vulnerable to. Upgraded Armor cannot be circumvented by called shots. Upgraded Devices do not run out of fuel or energy.

  • "Destroyed" in this context means "prevented from functioning for its primary purpose", so for instance, an upgraded land mine would still explode as normal if triggered, even though it cannot be "destroyed" and a car's windows may still be broken.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used. The same is true for extra dice.
  • Extra dice from this Effect do not apply to Gift activation rolls.

As the user begins to envision a blue print of the item in their minds Spindly Clockwork arms shoot forth from the item spinning, prodding and poking at a specific spot in the air. as these limbs continue their work a hole into a ghostly realm is forced open showing the infinite possibility of Perfected forms. They reach forward rapidly dragging out the items envisioned.

The eyes on the tails on the back of the jacket open and weep blood that ignites once on the floor and takes the shape of the fox that then coalesces into the shape of a fox around the object emblazoning it with the creature. The creature is slightly warm to the touch, and it looks at people who get close with a perplexed gaze for a few seconds, before screaming with all the intensity of a woman being murdered. The jacket allows you to use the senses of the creature attached to the object and in turn channel magic through its senses.
