Bu fang finds his target with ease. Taking that moment, his knife in hand, as if casting a culinary symphony, he waves his knife into the air, striking down as if chopping the air. The target finds themselves feeling pain before they start to notice that their body is being cooked, turned into mere ingredients infront of bu fang.
if possible use charisma+cooking
Edit: This one is fine I guess? 300ft is a bit odd, but good enough. Might be better on the Knife for the extra Gift point since it uses Focus anyway, but that's up to you
Exert your Mind and Spend an Action. Select a Living target within 300 feet. You must actively and obviously use Knife to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.
If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:
If you inflict two Extreme (Outcome > 3) Battle Scars on the target, you may transform them fully into another species.
You may cure any Battle Scars you have created with this Effect with a Free Action on your initiative. They are healed over the course of the next hour.
Your alteration "heals" over the course of the next month, after which it is fully cured.
River winks at you, and suddenly you hear their voice inside your mind, clear as day. You can respond to them telepathically, too, with a bit of concentration.
Only one of the two needs to hold Concentration. River doesn’t need to know the true name, just something that they would like to be called.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet of you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. This Effect cannot be used unless must know their name.
You open up a line of communication to your target, and may converse with them as long as one of you maintains Concentration
The conversation will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is a wink. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
I stumbled across a man in a dark alley one night will drinking who asked she could have anything in the world what would it be. She said itd be nice to be able to change the world for the better if only the corrupt were gone. The man gave her a book and said if she mastered this she could start on this path. She spent the next month performing the rituals and she succeded turning herself into a human voodoo doll. The next month she was on her way home when she was mugged and she was unfortunately stabbed in the gut however as the blade was removed the robber clutched his stomach and feel to the floor dead.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 300 feet. Roll Charisma + Occult Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much damage plus 1. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
You may use this Effect to Defend or Clash in Combat, including against ranged attacks such as firearms.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The Wound Disappears from Sally and appears slowly on the target.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
When the Vampyre's lust for blood is satiated, his injuries and scars heal at a remarkably fast rate and new injuries (other than those caused by fire or holy water) are quickly stabilized. While healing, his skin retains its deathly pale appearance, as any blood he consumes is being used to repair his wounds.
You gain the following benefits as long as you have fed in the last 24 hours.
Any Injury you receive from a source other than fire, heat, or holy water heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level each hour, starting once it becomes stabilized. You may also Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of a single stabilized Injury by 1. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
Battle Scars caused by your Injuries are also healed when the Injuries that caused them regenerate.
Injuries you receive from fire, heat, or holy water are increased in Severity by 1.
With his knowledge of Engineering, and being a handyman for a couple months now at this point of life and the constant use of his knowledge has allowed him to transcend to a new frontier of repairing. Seeing the schematics in his mind and forming in front of him as he see's how to repair it easy peasy with seemingly any tool handed to him. From Wrenches, Pliers, Hammers, or Screwdrivers, anything a handyman use's can use now.
Spend 10 minutes. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. You must actively and obviously use Any tool a Handyman would use to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
Showmen need to have incredibly precise control of their limbs and exteemeies to pull off the stunts and tricks they perform without getting caught. But these days the limits of humanity won't cut it, a showman would have to break beyond what's normally possible to truly gather a crowd.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Dexterity rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
True to their namesake, the hacker can penetrate the security of any computer system, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.
While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, blurring like a ghost.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect, and activation only takes a single Action.
Your Hack cannot be reversed through mundane means for a number of hours equal to your Outcome.
Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of a ghost in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
The beastmaster shouts, and their human voice cracks into a deep, bestial roar. Their body swells with muscle, clothes melting into a thick pelt of fur. Seconds later the beastmaster is gone. Standing in their place is a massive grizzly bear.
However, even in human form the beast within remains close to the surface, and the beastmaster finds highly civilized social situations unbearable.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into a brown bear for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Direct, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Intolerance for society. When you are in a situation with strict social protocols (like a trial or a formal dinner) roll Self-Control not to enter a flight or fight response.
The detective pulls out their magnifying glass and investigates the area, learning details about any nearby structures and picking up details on what sorts of beings have passed through and when.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use a magnifying glass to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
The Necromancer stands over a corpse and makes a series of grandiose lifting gestures. The corpse rises from the ground as though suspended by invisible strings, barks a pained groan, and lands on its feet, now a full-fledged member of the living dead.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action. You must use up a corpse in order to activate this Effect.
Summon a single zombie at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
You never know whether or not the musician's death is merely part of the performance.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.
If, while you are unconscious, your wound level rises above your rating in Body + Charisma, or if you take an Injury with Severity greater than your rating in Charisma, you die. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.
