Sir Seymore Alonso is fastidious in the maintenance of his equipment. How can a knight be seen with a slovenly appearance? His sword must be sharp and well-kept, and his armor and shield shine so cleanly that the sun gleams off their surface, and be polished enough that you could nearly see your face in them.
When Seymore polishes his equipment and utters prayer to the Lord for their reliability, they take on incredible qualities. A shield or armor feels lighter, and a sword becomes impossibly sharp. The Lord would never allow the equipment of one of His faithful champions to fail him.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend a minute. Select a non-Alien trappings of a knight (melee armaments and metal armor) within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use polishing rag to activate this Effect. Can be used on Armor.
Lasts the next day. Your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +2 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. While it is upgraded, the item cannot be destroyed. Upgraded Armor is shredded by half the normal amount. If it is a piece of Armor, it instead receives half that amount as bonus armor rating, rounded up , and any armor penalty it causes is reduced by 1. If an upgraded shield and armor are both worn, the upgrade bonus does not stack with itself.
Upgraded items have half their normal weight, for the purposes of encumbrance.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Delusion that you are a knight-errant facing a series of quests. You must insist that other contractors are your fellow knights or your squires, and you must introduce yourself as Sir Seymore Alonso, must give your name if asked, and cannot willingly conceal this identity.
A writhing mass of metal chains rises out of the floor at Grayson’s call…when the revenant spirit of Leyding is in the mood. It is a fickle thing, and knows not whether to trust his potential. Right now, it does not always come when he beckons.
This mass of winding, rusted, broken chains fires off a few links at his target, interrupting or binding them in a spectral embrace.
Leyding…one of the two chains broken attempting to bind Fenrir. When Leyding broke, its ghost carried on. A ghost without a home. A ghost with failed purpose. Thousands of years later…in the unlikeliest of places, its spirit latched on to a young rocker on the streets of Seattle. He had a gift for convincing people. And Leyding learned from its successor Gleipnir—that the trick to trapping someone is often in convincing them there is no escape.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 20 feet. Roll Dexterity + Influence at Difficulty 6. the target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by an intangible, ethereal binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Mind divided by 2, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions until they break free.
Restricted targets may attempt to break the binding and escape by spending an Action and rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. Breaking free requires a total cumulative Outcome equal or greater than the original Contested Outcome.
You may use this Effect as a Reaction to contest any physical Action a target is taking. Excess Outcome does not restrict the target.
Your bindings affect intangible beings like ghosts.
True to their namesake, the hacker can penetrate the security of any computer system, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.
While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, blurring like a ghost.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect, and activation only takes a single Action.
Your Hack cannot be reversed through mundane means for a number of hours equal to your Outcome.
Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of Chiaki in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
Working in many places as a park ranger, Janice has grown to be able to track any being throughout any sort of environment. Her discerning eyes can keep track of her target once she spots any sign that they left.
This ability has been honed throughout years of hunting throughout the night for intruders in deserts and forests. She's not using just physical hints, like footprints, but also patterns of movement from a litany of people trying to evade her.
By taking a close look, with a magnifying glass, Janice is able to use any trace of even the most minuscule of debris to see where the target has been. Even from the depth of their prints, she's able to tell if the footprint is a red herring left by the evader. Janice is able to keep track of the target well enough that she could teach a toddler how to follow them.
Looking at the gait of the target, and the depth of the footprints, Janice is also able to tell if the target is limping, going slower than normal. She's even able to find out their weight.
However, following their trail, and judging their health together is too much for Janice. Her mental endurance isn't enough to be able to juggle these. She has to focus down on one concept beforehand.

You may specify a specific condition that the patient must adhere to. If they break this condition, the treatment is immediately reversed. Record this regimen as a Condition. Lasts until the end of their next Contract or 1 month for non-Contractors.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind a mismatched replacement on the target which cannot be healed.
The mobster presents a reasoned, logical case to the target: there's a lot of dangerous folks out there, and only they can offer safety... for a price.
If they agree, they will pay the mobster a monthly fee for protection. If they stop making their payments... well, let's just say, the mobster can't be held responsible for any unsavory types that might pay them a visit.
This Effect cannot be used unless you are making a deal to exchange money for protection.
You may make an oath with a physically-present, Sapient target. Communicate the oath's terms to the target, including the requirements and penalties for each participant. If all agree to the terms, you must Exert your Mind and all participants must shake hands to seal the deal.
