The druid is now able to call upon the help of nature to defend its companions. The golden bracelet is adorned with emerald gems that absorb sunshine throughout the day and release that stored sunshine to use its power. Once used, the band glows and loses a shine from one of its gems then big strong roots grow from the ground to defend the target.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. Roll Brawn + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome + 2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. This Artifact may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
She looks like a wolf-dog. Not some beast from storybooks—just a huge, quiet animal with thick gray-black fur, watchful eyes, and a soldier’s stillness. People see her and think “guard dog,” not “war mount.” No one expects what happens next.
But when you climb onto her back and give the silent signal, she moves. The world blurs. Wind howls. The pavement cracks behind her. She runs faster than any motorcycle, leaps impossible distances, and, when needed, takes to the skies without wings. And only then do people realize: she is not what she seems.
She does not tolerate passengers. She follows only one rider. She can think, act, and hunt on her own. If left behind for more than two days, she will lie down like a faithful hound—and never rise again.
She is no machine. She is no myth.
She is your companion.
She is the last steed of the old ways.
She is Volchitsa.
This Artifact can be used as a Kawasaki. It is roughly the same size as a Kawasaki but can be collapsed into Collapses into A Wolf Pendant made of wolf bones and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
This Kawasaki has Looks Like A Large Wolf Dog. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.
You also gain the following effects:
This item is a living thing. When targeted, it counts as a Living Creature in addition to its other target types. If destroyed or abandoned for more than two days, it dies and becomes unusable.
When this truck rolls in, no one sees it coming. It moves unseen, unheard beyond cameras, eyes, or senses. The world forgets it was ever there.
But silence has a cost.
Every mile it drives, it pulls from its driver will, warmth, and strength leaving them pale and hollow. The mess gets cleaned, but something always gets taken with it.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. Lasts 30 minutes.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.
If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. Activating a targeted or obvious Effect, attacking, or being Injured ends the Effect. When the Effect ends, it is disabled for one minute.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
The bandages become alive as new blood is infused with the existing blood within, extending and twisting out into a set of four distinct strands. They operate like tendrils that slither and stretch, and can be used to pull, wrap, and crush things using the user's own strength.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. You must use up a pint of blood in order to activate this Effect.
You gain 4 additional limbs that function as standard human arms and hands. Lasts two hours.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.
You may dedicate your extra Quick Action to contest any attempt to escape your Grapples. If you do so, you roll your full dice pool to contest and retain your Action to do anything that does not target the subject of your Grapple.
Your extra appendage is not connected to your nervous or circulatory systems, and you will not take damage if it is hit by an attack or destroyed.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see blood-soaked bandages twisting and slithering like monstrous tendrils.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: T̸̫̰̓H̴̱̩̏̓Ë̶͖́̉ ̵̢͉̉T̸̼̓Ǫ̷͚̇͗R̵̠̂M̴̮͑͐E̷̙̒̏Ṇ̶̭͛Ṱ̵̙̍̍: Your sleep is plagued with horrible nightmares of torture and experimentation. At the start of each Contract and each time you fall asleep, make a Self-Control roll. If you fail, you take one Mind damage.. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.
Tendrils from the gloves stretch and fly off to wrap around and hold the target, binding them with darkness and void energy as they are held in place, slowly and wrapping around the target and after an uninterrupted bind, are sealed in a cocoon of darkness.
Spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Dexterity + Athletics at Difficulty 6. The target may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Brawn, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions other than attempting to escape until they break free.
Restricted targets may escape their binding by spending an Action and taking a Severity-1 Injury. Their movement is reduced by 10 feet until the Injury heals.
You may use this Effect as a Reaction to contest any physical Action a target is taking. Excess Outcome does not restrict the target. This interrupts Concentration.
If your target does not escape within 3 Rounds, they cannot ever free themselves and must be rescued.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Coils of Void and souls come out of the ground as they attempt to latch onto their target.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
Dazzle Glasses are advanced "black-tech" espionage gear. They can be styled as any sort sunglasses. When the wearer is recorded, they will quickly flash a non-visible laser into the recording device, destroying it after only a moment of footage is taken.
This Effect activates whenever you are recorded. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Non-Sapient Object within 20 feet no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Perception + Culture Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
Standard issue in the Future Soldier's home time, the Personal Shield Generator (PSG) projects a protective energy barrier around the body. It absorbs damage far better than traditional armor, but its battery is quickly drained. When depleted, the PSG must spend a few seconds recharging.
When struck, the normally-invisible field of the PSG flashes, revealing a bright yellow honey-comb pattern encasing the body.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You have 6 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack.
Your Armor cannot be destroyed, and it always provides a minimum of 2 Armor regardless of any Armor shredding or penetration. It cannot be circumvented with Called Shots. When shredded, it returns to full potency in one hour.
Any time your Armor prevents Damage, your Armor rating is temporarily decreased by 2. Whenever it goes five Rounds without preventing any Damage, it is restored back to its full value.
When Winter Fang's glittering string is drawn, an ice arrow crystalizes nocked and ready to fire. These ice arrows melt quickly after piercing their foes, leaving deadly wounds instead of evidence.
This Artifact can be used as a bow. It is roughly at least twice as large as a bow and cannot be concealed on your person or disassembled for storage.
Attack by rolling Dexterity + Athletics, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +3 Weapon Damage. Attacks do not require a successful called shot to do damage.

The airship of solitude is the mad scientist's lair and preferred mode of travel. Not only does it include a full science laboratory, it can be collapsed into an incredibly small canvas cube and easily transported. The mad scientist may pilot the ship alone or rely on its autopilot features for ultimate convenience.
This Artifact can be used as a blimp. It is roughly the same size as a blimp but can be collapsed into a phone-sized canvas cube and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
This blimp has full science laboratory, bullet-proof envelope, and ample parachutes. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.
You also gain the following effects:
The spy can do up their passport to take on the appearance of any valid form of identification they may need.
This Artifact can change its appearance. When not transformed, it is roughly the same size as a passport and just as difficult to conceal.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. This Artifact changes its appearance into an Object within the category of forms of identification. This lasts until you decide to end the Effect, which may be done as a Free Action.
The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
