Description

"Sav'ant instructs you to sit as he is about to, and to remain near. You watch as Sav'ant begins to sit down, his legs folding under his knees as he begins to pray and chant the words Om Shri Dhanvatre Namaha, over and over again in different tones but with the same repetition for the next minute. As he does this, you see him using a string of Mala beads on his wrist to count the repetitions, and as the Mantra continues you feel yourself beginning to... soothe? Soon, as the Mantra comes to a close, you feel reinvigorated and refreshed though Sav'ant looks to be much more tired: for good cause though as your injury and the scar that it would've left have vanished!"

Sav'ant has the ability to preform the Mantra of Miracle, a ritual/prayer of healing that requires intense chanting and meditation on the part of Sav'ant, as well as serious mental and physical strain and commitment. As with all of Sav'ant's other abilities, it takes some serious mental acuity and strain in order to preform as well as incredible amounts of introspection and mental assessment: opening him up to the developments of unsavory thoughts and/or developments. In addition, Sav'ant after the Mantra suffers physical exhaustion as the process actually drains some of Sav'ant's own energy in order to "Cure" the wounds of others. Sav'ant is able to use this ability on himself, and others.

System

Exert your Mind and spend 1 Minute treating a specific Injury on a Living target. Roll Charisma + Occult Difficulty 10 - 3. Each Success reduces the Injury's Severity by one. If you can reduce its Severity to zero, the wound is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and fully, Properly Stabilized. It will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

You cannot target yourself, and you cannot target the same Injury more than once.


Enhancements

  • Heal Thyself (You may target yourself)
  • Preventative Care (Treatment removes all Battle Scars caused by the Injury, even those that would not heal with Proper Stabilization.)

Drawbacks

  • Exhausting (After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.)
  • Mage (Activating this Effect requires two consecutive Actions of Concentration. It involves intricate use of the body and voice. If interrupted during activation, the Effect fails. It is obvious you are preparing to activate an Effect during casting.)
    • Activation Ritual - Sav'ant sits with his legs under his knees, praying and chanting to the target while bowing: the words he recites for the mantra are Om Shri Dhanvatre Namaha.
  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
    • Object - Mala
  • Traumatic (You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.)
