An appropriately named jacket, coming in a variety of colors and woven with kevlar fabrics this blend of modern technology and fantastical ability can take you from anywhere to Leon's own home base. Though he's loathe to hand these out to any but those he trusts beyond all else, their incredible value in getting out of a shit situation when all else fails is beyond measure.

Exert your Mind and spend 2 rounds to activate. If you are at The heartstone of the Imp's Bog in Russia, you may choose a target Location within your line of sight; otherwise, your target may only be The heartstone of the Imp's Bog in Russia.

You are transported directly to the chosen Location. You must wait an hour before activating this effect again.

After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Community Targeted Gifts

Taking a moment to gatter their inner light, Belle focusses and then shoots out a blast of sunlight at the target. Scorching them with the intense fury of the sun.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much damage plus 3. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Pale glowing outline around a person protected by the barrier. If person protected by the barrier is hit, the place where he was hit glows more brightly briefly, before going back to normal. If barrier is broken, the outline itself seems to shatter.

Many scholars of occult ran into a problem of not being able to put up a powerful enough barrier, either due to low mana capacity, low mana throughtput, troubles with concentration, or all three at the same time. But what if instead of creating one strong barrier, you just created multiple weak ones in several layers?

Of course, you could always run into a problem of creating a barrier too weak to fully protect against any significant attack, and you are sacrificing some of the advantages of single-layer barrier, like it restoring itself to full power every three-five seconds, or being able to create one in a split second if necessary. On the other hand, you receive what is effectively a barrier which does not requires your full focus to keep it functioning, and can be created even if you aren't the most capable magic-wise, and will be able to provide at least some level of protection against any attack, unless you manage to completely botch the rite

Exert your Mind and Spend an Action to activate. Select a Animate target within arm's reach. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a Barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

The Barrier will fall after an hour, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

He raises his gun shooting two shots, each stabbing the hand of the victim painlessly. Then, rockets activate. The person is stuck in a loop of spinning,

Spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 20 feet. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6. The target] may contest by Defending or Dodging.

If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but cannot move to a new location.

The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of damage equal to twice the contested Outcome from the Effect activation. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • For entities whose movement could be considered an attack (e.g. a kaiju), the GM may rule that they are merely slowed instead of fully restricted.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Mrs. Ross has a gift. One that has been built over a good many years. First they started as whispers in her dreamscape, moans that clouded her mind like a fog in the late evening hours. She doesn't quite remember how it happened, the moment was vague. She heard a lamenting echo from a body in a casket, a relative who must've just died. Though she cannot speak, The Voice in her head certainly can, and she tried to reach out to the whispers like she never could anyone else. To her immense surprise, the urn responded, a cavalcade of emotions from the recently deceased.

When Ripley Ross focuses on the body of the recently deceased, she is able to open a line of communication with the entity. The event is extremely distracting, as opening this line of communication beyond the veil invites the whispers of all manners of entity.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach. In order to target the Dead, you must have some component of their remains.

The target can communicate in your language for the next ten minutes.

This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is that your eyes shimmer a faint purple. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.

While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.

You may only use this Effect once per target per day.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Preston withdraws a mirror, wiggles his fingers, and speaks a rhyme beginning with "mirror mirror." The surface of the mirror shimmers and shifts, showing what lies beyond. However, too much usage of the mirror can lead to narcissism and paranoia.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target Location within 500 feet. You must actively and obviously use a mirror to activate this Effect. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.

You may perceive things as if you were standing at that Location for the next five minutes. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect. You cannot perceive anything at your physical location while the effect is active.

Others near you may choose to observe what you are perceiving by the images appearing in the mirror.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.

Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.

Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.

Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They will follow any command you speak.

The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume human blood every day or it will die again.

Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the Vampire draining blood from a body's neck, and feeding his own blood in turn to that same body.

  • The creature will die at the end of any 24 hour period gone without consuming their specified diet, and it is important that this growing desperation is reflected in how they are roleplayed.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The Psychic focuses for a moment, and a precise replica of themselves shimmers into existence. The copy is merely a visual illusion and is easily dispelled if it is touched. The Psychic may concentrate to puppet the illusion, or give it a basic, repetitive task.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within arm's reach.

An image of yourself is generated at your target, and it will remain in place for the next minute. It can be perceived by people through their sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You may create a replica of a specific being, though it is still limited by whatever you do or do not know about that individual.

Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion, and the entire effect will be ended for all targets.

The illusion is not fixed to the initial target, and may move about at a maximum speed 30 feet per Round. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and โ€œpuppeteerโ€ it.

After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

Come one, come all! Stand in amazement and behold as the Fire Eater consumes a flame as we would cotton candy! Gasp with fright as they breathe a plume of fire a great distance! And yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is quite dangerous.

Exert your Mind and spend at least two Actions performing the following ritual: a sick fire-eating trick to activate. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as the fire burns your throat. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.

Lighting a target on fire deals 3 damage per round, starting in the next round after the one in which they caught fire. This damage is reduced by Armor, but the targetโ€™s Armor rating will be depleted by any damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.

  • Someone may attempt to extinguish a fire that you started by spending an Action and rolling Dexterity + Athletics, Difficulty 8.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The cop keeps his gun trained on The Witch and nods to her cart. "Open it. Slowly"

Her wrinkled fingers pry open the door. Dozens of miniature glass bottles, each one unique in shape and color, tinkle against each other.

"I can be useful, you know," she croaks, lifting a cloudy pink flask no larger than her finger. "Are you looking for love? One sip of this will send even the most stone-hearted prospect into a fit of passion."

The officer snatches the vial and regards the faintly-glowing fluid swirling within. "Another charlatan," he grunts, tossing it over his shoulder. He grabs the old woman's waterskin and takes a swig. "Plain water's worth more than your lies you dirty--"

He freezes and blinks at the Witch. Where before he saw a vile con artist, now he sees an old woman finding her way though a harsh world. Was his own mother so different? He lowers his gun. "Don't let me catch you tricking folks around here again."

The Witch smiles and snaps her cart closed. "With pleasure."

Spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within 45 feet as well as a specific emotion. You must actively and obviously use your potion brewing set to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Alertness at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldnโ€™t have done, inspired by the chosen emotion. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.

Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.

Both attacking someone and being attacked will end the Effect.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • If you succeed, the target MUST take at least one Action they otherwise would not have. Hey, GM who is reading this, I'm talking to you. You have to enforce this. Remember: Gifts must feel powerful.

Dr. Freeman engages in an invasive regimen of humor-balancing. Sometimes this means forcing his patient to consume vile mixtures of herbs and minerals, other times, using drugs to induce violent fits of vomiting. No matter the rest of the treatment, he always performs bloodletting, opening a vein to drain a significant amount of blood. The fluids drained this way are streaked with sickening tracks of diseased green and yellow bile.

As awful and disgusting as the procedure is, one cannot argue with the results. The treated patient stumbles away cleansed of any diagnosed diseases, poisons, and venoms.

Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Your target takes a Severity 1 Injury.

You may cure any any number of diseases or poisons afflicting your target so long as you have fully diagnosed or understood them. You may only cure diseases which can be treated with modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional damage or other effects.

  • Without some sort of diagnostic Effect, โ€œfully diagnosingโ€ a disease or poison will always require a roll of some sort, frequently Intellect + Medicine, but the specific roll and difficulty is at GMโ€™s discretion.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
