Revive IT'S ALIVE!!

1
Requires Seasoned
The power to reanimate the dead.
Created by shady.
(During activation and whenever you issue a command, it is clear that you are interacting with the target. )

The seasoned necromancer's darkest art spits in the face of the natural order. Given sufficient preparation, they may temporarily revive any dead individual.

Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last month.

Your target rises as an Animate being. They remember their past life and retain their same personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They may roll Mind, Difficulty 8, to resist any commands you give them.

The creature lasts for eight hours or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.

Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Attributes are all the same as they were in life. Raised creatures have access to any Effects they had in life.

You may only use this Effect once per day.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Community Power Gifts

Due to the consumption of what he thought was the holy grail, he was "killed" but his sheer hatred and bloodlust would not let him die so pitifully in that hole.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

You are permanently and visibly transformed: long knight-locks that grow back when their cut, eternally preserved skin. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living being when targeted. Your Charisma is increased by 1.

Your Injuries no longer degrade with time.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Eternal "Life": Drinking the grail might've granted him eternal life, Tarhos still feels pain as though he were mortal and feels stress. While it won't kill him he still feels hunger and thirst and the adverse affects of starving and dehydration. Diseases will not kill him but he will still feel the pain of any symptoms. He may also be targeted by phenomena that requires a living target..

  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a brick of plastic explosive within arm's reach.

The target becomes disguised with a new forged appearance of your choice, which must fit within the theme of children's toys. You may have up to 3 Forgeries active concurrently and may choose to end the effect at will as a Free Action.

The new appearance must be relatively generic, cannot mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), and must be of a similar size and weight to the targeted Object. The forged appearance will generally hold up to any mundane scrutiny, though exceptions can be made at GMs discretion.

  • The composition of the original object will not be altered, and it will not lose its functionality or gain any new functionality outside of its changed appearance.
  • Any attempt to use an object for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) may cause the disguise to fail or require a Perception check at GM's discretion.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your right arm.

Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Tough: Half your Brawn acts as Armor against all incoming sources of damage.

  • If your right arm is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).

The Hat Man's form is enough to bestow terror in even the bravest men...despite how much he hates it.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.

  • Sight:You are completely obscured from sight. All attempts to detect you via sight fail. Attempts via other senses where sight would assist are rolled at -2 dice.

While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.

You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.

This Gift does not affect your clothes or equipment.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Hat Man - You are literally a hat man. (+2 Difficulty to all non-threatening Social Rolls towards targets that can see you) and Gaseous Form - Seeing as you are made of condensed shadows, it is impressive you can lift even this much. (You may only carry up to 10lbs per point of Brawn, instead of 15).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Cowardly Cryptid - For a shadow monster, you are quite cowardly. (Whenever you would start initiative outnumbered, roll Self Control or attempt to flee).

  • You may only switch this Effect on or off once per Round on your initiative as a Free Action.

This supernatural Contractor's gift, "Attention to Detail," allows one to perceive the world in an unprecedented microscopic scale with their naked eye, such as fingerprints on surfaces from several meters away, the grooves and patterns in materials at a microscopic level, and even single-celled organisms floating in the air or in a drop of water. The power extends to reading the subtlest body language cues, making it invaluable in understanding intentions or lies without words.

When activating this gift, the sensation is akin to a wave of focused energy converging on one's eyes, sharpening their vision exponentially. It's as if the world slows down around them, allowing every minute detail to stand out with vivid clarity. The sensation is not painful but intensely immersive, creating a hyper-aware state where details pop out, highlighted as if illuminated by an unseen light. This transition from normal to enhanced perception is smooth, feeling natural rather than jarring, as if the mind and vision are simply adjusting the focus on a lens to reveal what was always hidden in plain sight.

The origin of the power is deeply rooted in an ancient pact made between the Contractor's ancestors and a primordial entity that embodies the essence of observation and knowledge. This entity, fascinated by the human desire for understanding and mastery over their environment, granted the Contractor's bloodline the ability to see beyond the veil of the macroscopic world.

The gift of "Attention to Detail" is not just a tool but a window into the complexity of the universe, offering insights that can unravel mysteries, solve crimes, or unlock the secrets of nature itself. However, the depth of detail one can perceive also means one must learn to filter the overwhelming influx of information to focus on what is truly important, a skill that is honed through experience and meditation.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Sight: You can see things that are normally invisible to the naked eye, such as fingerprints and bacteria.

  • Your microscopic vision requires a close look at a very small, specific area to use. It does not grant increased distance vision, it simply provides a higher resolution, allowing you to see finer and finer detail.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a clock or watch to activate this Effect.

You phase out of reality for 4 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world or take any Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.

When you phase out, you may bring up to 1 additional target in arm's reach with you.

  • You may use your Free Movement on the Round you phase back in, but you cannot take an Action.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are in werewolf form.

You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except silver. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.

Any Injury received from Damage that was reduced by this Armor is considered makeshift stabilized and will not degrade further. Any Battle Scar received from such an Injury is reduced by 1 level to a minimum of a Minor Battle Scar.

Exert your Mind and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters). You must actively and obviously use a pointed hat with stars and moons to activate this Effect.

Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can maintain a max of 4 targets animated at once.

Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:

  • Awareness: Animated targets are capable of perceiving the world around them within reasonable limits. They cannot communicate in a clear or coherent way.
  • Movement: Animated targets can use an existing method of locomotion (wheels, etc); otherwise they can move across the ground at 15 feet per round, or hover up to a height of 7 feet in the air at 10 feet per round.
  • Combat: Animated objects cannot take offensive actions in combat.
  • Artifacts: Animating an Artifact does not grant the animated object access to any Effects built in to that Artifact.
  • Ability Use: If an action requires a roll, Animated objects have a dice pool of 7 when performing a task for which they were designed, and a dice pool of 4 for taking any other actions.
  • Toughness: Animated targets are as easy to destroy as they were prior to being animated. If destroyed, the effect ends.
  • Following Orders: Animated objects are controlled by the GM, and will follow any commands you give them, as long as they don't require problem-solving.

  • A task for which an object was designed might include a broom sweeping, a gun shooting things, a car driving, a towel rubbing up on stuff, etc.
  • Animated objects may be more or less susceptible to certain attacks at GMs discretion. A scarecrow golem would be easily destroyed by a sword (or fire). An animated suit of armor may not fear bullets but could be smashed to bits with a hammer. A full bronze statue is largely indestructible but might have difficulty standing up if toppled.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way. Lasts for three hours.

  • Thermal: You are able to "see" heat signatures within your line of sight.
  • Hearing: You automatically know the origin location of any sound you hear, and you can tell which Action caused the sound.

  • Your thermal vision allows you to judge temperatures of surfaces fairly accurately as long as they are within livable temperatures.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Hearing: You are capable of perceiving physical shapes via sound. You must produce a cricket chirp to “ping” with your echolocation each Round you wish to use it.
