Autumn's eyes snap shut, her shaky left hand swiftly shoots towards her chest and almost feverishly clutches around the worn out but oddly elegant looking iron locket with a foggy, red gemstone in the middle - in another life the piece would have doubtlessly been stunning to witness, though now it's but a shadow of its former self, merely hinting at the beauty time mercilessly eroded.
The necklace is suspended around the woman's neck on a thick, old but still rather sturdy looking metal chain, her thin hand clutches around the pendant hard enough to turn her sharp delicate knuckles a ghostly white.
"It's the little things that so often remind us of who we truly are when we so foolishly lose our way, a cheap, seemingly meaningless gift, a kind word in the time of need - or a moment of heartfelt silence, a warm embrace when my very bones felt like ice - it can keep one sane, keep one from taking the wrong turn and ending up in a ditch like many of the less fortunate already have."
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using worn metal pendant to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You get +1 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:
You are a beast of legend, long thought to be extinct, and now it shows.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into Wolf until you transform into something else or choose to return to your original form. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Direct, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. The equipment you are wearing does not transform with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Billy Chance was called the Hangman in his youth. Not for extensive use of lassos or nooses, but because he was strong enough to crush a man's windpipe one-handed.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
+2 dice to rolls for Attacking, Defending, and Clashing without a weapon. Unarmed attacks do +7 Weapon Damage (instead of -1).
You may Defend against melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks from any range and Clash with those in range of your Attacks. Attacking materials like steel or spikes will not Damage you unless it has an Effect that does so.
You also gain the following effects:
Minerva's body, made of will and thought, always comes back together as to how she sees herself.
And, of course, it's difficult to kill an idea with bullets.
Similar to her form itself, pure substances of reality disrupt her Dreamland self.
Or at least, they did. Minerva has learned many things, one of which how to prevent such substances from being anathema to her.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours. Any Injuries you receive while this Effect is active do not deteriorate over time. However, any Battle Scars caused by such an Injury will remain unless it is Properly Stabilized as normal.
As long as at least half your body remains intact, you cannot die and remain at Incapacitated, regardless of how many Injuries you take. It is clear to observers that you are still alive.
Once an Injury has been reduced in Severity by two levels, it no longer benefits from this effect and instead heals as normal.
When you yourself are a temporal anomaly, focusing the energy within your body into a strike can cause peculiar effects. The objects that are touched by the caveman actively progress backwards through their technological timeline, and objects without any are simply reduced to dust as their formative events are reversed. What is scariest about this is that the caveman only seems to need to strike the target in question to deliver the effect, though it does seem to require a great deal of focus and temporal energy has been observed congregating around his hands before he executes such a strike.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Sapient Object or piece of an Object or structure within arm's reach no larger than an SUV (4,000 liters). You must actively and obviously use A time piece to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Brawl Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
When activating this Effect, you may spend an extra minute and maintain Concentration. If you do, it has no Exertion cost, and you may destroy an object which has up to 3x larger dimensions, or up to 27x larger volume than the normal maximum size.
If you have access to the remains of an object you had previously damaged or destroyed, you may spend an Action to un-destroy it.
Osmand channels a weaker version of his worm form and warps into an elongated form.
Thanks psycho!
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into Human sized worm for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Human sized worm, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Attributes are the same. You do not suffer any Body or Mind Penalties.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -2).
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Osmand's flesh bursts and he turns into a worm.
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
The Necromancer stands over a corpse and makes a series of grandiose lifting gestures. The corpse rises from the ground as though suspended by invisible strings, barks a pained groan, and lands on its feet, now a full-fledged member of the living dead.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action. You must use up a corpse in order to activate this Effect.
Summon a single zombie at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
The aquamancer shifts into their elemental form and melds into a nearby collection of water, only to reform shortly out of a different source of water within line of sight.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Location within your line of sight , and which is directly adjacent to water. You must be within arm's reach of water to activate this Effect.
You are transported directly to the chosen Location. You must wait an hour before activating this effect again.
As long as the Ninja is dressed in an appropriate uniform, their movement is almost silent.
You gain the following benefits as long as as long as you are visibly dressed head to toe in black with hardly any skin showing.
You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. Activating a targeted or obvious Effect, attacking, or being Injured ends the Effect. When the Effect ends, it is disabled for one minute.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: compulsion to test the awareness of allies by sneaking up on them with a weapon.
The Psychic can, with great focus and mental strain, channel their will to move objects with their mind.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 2 in place of your Brawn rating, a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity, and otherwise use your own Attributes and Abilities.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
The aristocrat knows a ritual that allows them to rent the best version of any item. They set $10,000 worth of cash on fire and place the item to be upgraded in the fire as well. While in the flame, the item morphs into a high-end version of itself. After a while, it reverts.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. You must use up $10,000 cash (or equivalent) in order to activate this Effect. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next two hours. Your target receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +3 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice.
