Charlatans

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must use up a cup of bugs in order to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Alertness ( dice) at Difficulty 6.

You learn the following information about the area:

• You can tell how many living things have died in this area, what they were, and roughly when the deaths occurred.
• You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Human Stain - Your dreams are filled with humans and their evergrowing hubris. (Nightmares).

You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within 50 feet. Roll Dexterity + Occult ( dice) Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.

The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.

You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Imperial Regalia to gain the benefits of this Effect.

You get +2 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

• Compartmentalizing: You can take a maximum of 1 Mind Damage per Round.
• Instant Karma: If you successfully resist an Effect with your Mind, you may reflect it back to another target as though you had cast it.

Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend a minute. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you Severity 4- Melted face plate. You must actively and obviously use Flame producing device (Blowtorch, Lighter) to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.

You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts until you either activate a new disguise, or choose to end the effect.

The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise may directly mimic the appearance of a specific individual. You may change the appearance of your outfit. Your disguise can alter your smell, DNA, and other aspects that are not perceivable via human senses. This does not conceal you against investigative Effects. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.

You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.

After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Alertness ( dice) at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

• Determine if this target is Alien in origin or whether it has any Alien energy or outside influences. You receive information about the type of energy, including the name of the relevant Source pool or equivalent.
• You receive a visual description telling you who has used this object recently.

You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.

You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using clothes or a uniform that displays the flag of your country to gain the benefits of this Effect.

You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. This Effect cannot be used unless you can see your target.

You open up a line of communication to your target, and may converse with them as long as one of you maintains Concentration

The conversation will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.

Exert your Mind (unless you have been recently attacked by your target) and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead, demonic, or another evil creature. You must actively and obviously use a gilded cross to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Alertness ( dice) Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.

If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target loses that much Source. Once their Source is depleted, excess Outcome is applied as Mind Damage. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target gains a Trauma of the GM's choice.

This trauma cannot be removed by spending Experience and undergoing mundane therapy. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance ( dice) Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.

Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.

Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
