Bill keeps his important possessions stored in a pocket realm which he can access through the sleeve of his shirt.
Spend a Quick Action to activate. This Effect cannot be used unless you have sleeves through which to store/withdraw items.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a ziploc snack bag (1 liter), and you may store up to 7 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
Nyoka embodies the speed of their ancestors, emboldened by their past glories and charges into battle.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using Handwraps to gain the benefits of this Effect.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is tripled.
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.
If you were moving quicker than you could without super speed and go a Round without using your Movement, you collapse and must remain immobile and resting for two Rounds.
You start to faintly glow a off green, that fitting of a ghost, as suddenly the glow gets brighter and others will notice soon that there is nothing but the glow and you are nowhere to be found.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You phase out of reality for up to 4 Rounds. During this time, you cannot affect the outside world or take any Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.
When you activate this Effect, you may limit its duration to a period of your choosing. If you are able, you may also end it as a Free Action on your initiative.
You leave A ethereal glow in the general outline of a body at your location.
Odar suddenly gets a pounding headache, and glimpses a vision of the cryptid that triggered their sense. They then have the urge to find and eliminate this cryptid before it kills again.
This Effect activates whenever a cryptid kills any living thing. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour.
You automatically detect the closest of any cryptids within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense their direction, but you are not aware of their exact location.]]
Even if there are no cryptids within 300 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.
All cryptids who you can sense are equally able to sense you.
You flash your toothiest grin and pull out your business card (or anyone's business card. Fake it 'till you make it!), showing it off to your target. Weaving together a beautifully intricate lie laced with half truths and jargon, you convince them of your expertise and can easily help them with whatever they're trying to accomplish! All they need to do is heed your advice...
Exert your Mind and spend at least one Action. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use a business card to activate this Effect. Your target cannot be engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Influence (7 dice) at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Contested Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action and a conditional request. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
You may activate this Effect as a Reaction to contest any Action a valid target is taking, reducing their Outcome by your own. Your command has no impact beyond disrupting their Action. This interrupts Concentration.
This Effect ends if you are stunned, fall asleep, go unconscious, are incapacitated, die, or if your total Stress ever exceeds 5.
The Corn-Infested Stevewalker appears first as a skinwalker coiled in corn stalks, with cobs bursting out of his body. His skin rots, his identity fades, yet still he rises, revived by the Necornomicon's forbidden knowledge.
After being summoned, the Stevewalker can freely shift his form into a normal human named Steve, the corn and rot vanishing, only returning when he reverts back.
The first page of the Necornomicon tells of a dark, soul-binding ritual that tethers a lost life to a still living one. A simple curse, the first trick in every necornmancer's arsenal, and yet the consequences of such a spell can be... disastrous, to say the least. The texts advise any potential users to prioritize finding lesser beings to become their soul-bound familiars, as life restored in this way is fickle and disturbing, even taxing to the caster's very being. Loved ones never return in a form that's entirely correct, and some things are better left resting in peace.
Perhaps a grief-stricken farmboy who just discovered where his heart lies was not the best person to bestow the Necornomicon unto. But whatever, close enough, welcome back Stevewalker from 7-Eleven.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action.
Summon a single Sapient Corn-Infested Stevewalker at your location. They last for two hours or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most one active at a time.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see a brief blood sacrifice, followed by a long-dead skinwalker emerging from the ground, with corn stalks entwining its decaying limbs.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
The detective has trained their eyes to notice the smallest of details.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
By focusing and whispering a prayer under their breath, the priest may invoke their god to protect those who have good works left to do.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult (4 dice) at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The time-twister presses a button on one of their wristwatches, and, in a flash of orange light, disappears. They have skipped 12 seconds forward in time. To them, the travel is instantaneous, but everyone else must wait until they reappear.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a clock or watch to activate this Effect.
You phase out of reality for 4 Rounds. During this time, you cannot perceive or affect the outside world or take any Actions. You cannot move. Nothing can interact with you in any way.
When you phase out, you may bring up to 1 additional target in arm's reach with you.
The musician pours their heart and soul into their music, giving others some much needed perspective and solace and all around good vibes. This can be a temporary easing of the mind, but with prolonged music therapy it can even permanently cure psychic damage.
Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You cannot target yourself. This Effect cannot be used unless you continuously play music for your target during the activation. Over the course of one Downtime, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Performance (7 dice) at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Once per day per target, you may choose to use this Effect to stabilize the Mind of a target within arm's reach. Treatment takes 30 seconds but will not remove any Traumas. If you are successful, restore 2 Mind damage.
You may choose to use this Effect to temporarily relieve any number of the patient's Traumas (including mental Conditions). In this case, Treatment takes an Action and the effect lasts two hours. If the Patient is currently experiencing an episode, Difficulty is increased by 2.
The mystic channels and communes directly with another person's spirit, allowing the two of them to freely exchange both physical and mental wounds between each other.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. Your target may Resist to cancel the transfer.
You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer from your target to yourself, or from yourself to them:
Whenever you transfer an Injury, it's Severity increases by 1. Whenever you transfer Mind damage or Traumas, the recipient takes an additional Mind damage.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
