The power to restore bone and mend flesh with the power of ancient incantations.
"In the dead of night, an old, weary man in weathered clothes laid bleeding out, crying out into the cold, empty night in desperate ravings and in mourning of that which he believes will be lost. A stranger approached and knelt towards the old man, extending their hands, palms outwards towards the old man as if he were a fire to keep oneself warm, faint whispers began to emerge from the dark hood of the stranger as the old man's wounds started to glow, a faint ethereal white. As a calming warmth enveloped the old man, the wounds began to close and restore themselves at an unnatural speed until no mark or blemish remained, as if the wounds themselves were imagined. Before the old man could give his thanks, only the cool night air remained where the stranger stood."
To activate this gift, the contractor must recite an ancient incantation in a tongue known to few, while also focusing on the biological processes that occur to heal the injury properly, requiring great mental focus and medical knowledge. The volume of the incantation itself, be it whisper or shouting has no effect on the efficacy of the "spell". Visually the wound will seemingly naturally repair itself at an abnormal rate, with a faint glow of white light emanating from the wound during this process, though unless you were in pitch or near pitch darkness you would likely not even notice this light. The target of the incantation will feel a natural warmth at the site of the injury, depending on the severity of the injury this warmth can be pleasant if it is mild or can be searing if the wound is life threatening, but this can vary from person to person. If any other supernatural, metaphysical, or magical gift transforms, augments, or attempts to modify the injured area it will destabilize the magical energy contained within the wound, helping to maintain the healing effect, if disturbed it could completely reverse the effects of the incantation. This incantation is one that could scarcely be found in any book, instead it is the art of ancient shamans, passed down through orally through the ages, even of those that learned the words, only few had the talent and essence to properly execute them. Of course no knowledge, gift, or talent is sacred when a Harbinger is involved...
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain. Your patient is required to not use any gift that would affect or modify the area of injury, i.e. transformation, augmentation, or other healing gifts that would affect the target area. (Excluding mental) for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
