When Defensive Curl is activated additional roots shoot out from your body to attempt to stop the attack.
You gain the following benefits at all times.

You may spend an Action or Reaction and Exert your Mind to double your Armor rating for one Round.
Aquara manifests her toggled ribbons, which can be used to attack or to defend.
Spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.

If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll Brawn + Parasitic Applications at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
