Luci creates a spectral shadow of herself that imbues itself into objects by drawing a rune on the object itself that allows a connection to be made with her and the Umbral Plane. They can manifest physically as specters that solely perform the task of the imbued object. They are extremely obvious and supernatural and while they will not communicate, they will diligently follow orders and handle the objects like mundane humans with a minor amount of skill.
In the case of objects that are not clearly able to be piloted or operated, an inky black substance will secrete from it and dissolve upon contact with anything if it drips off.
Standing Orders:
- These weapons are not to be used by anyone other than Luci unless she specifies otherwise.
- If control of the physical weapons is ever stolen from Luci or forced to bear their fangs towards Luci, the weapons will not fire until Luci says they can.
- These weapons are on orders to defend Luci from harm with Bullet Parry, unless told they are allowed to fire.
- These weapons will always be silent per the artifact firearms enhancement unless told otherwise.
- Luci's weapons are to only follow her orders if she says "Wry" before the order.
- Others are allowed to give these weapons orders if and only if they exactly refer to the weapons name in particular and say, "(X Weapons Name), 1998, Command" before each order.
- These orders can only be nullified or canceled if Luci says "The Sun Sets Beneath the Abyss."
- Only Luci is allowed to create new standing orders.
Exert your Mind and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters). Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.
Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can maintain a max of 4 targets animated at once.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the specters' bodies are summoned through a portal of eldritch adjacent appearance. Many eyes stare at anyone watching nearby while they get a glimpse of horrors beyond their imagination lasting no longer than a few seconds.
This Artifact cannot be broken.
If this Artifact is lost and in no one’s possession, it finds its way back to its creator during the next Downtime.
The eye sparks & sputters, leaving an imprint from which Grace can extend her senses. Grace can communicate through it at will.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 10 feet.
You place a ward, which is fixed to its initial location. You can hear and see through the ward as though you were standing at its location. This Artifact may have at most 3 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. The ward can be discovered if someone knows what they are looking for, but is otherwise inconspicuous and cannot be identified as a ward.
You may communicate through your ward, though doing so will reveal its presence.
Iryna pulls out a contraption that looks like a cross between a printing calculator, a Geiger counter, and a TI-82, tuned together and strapped to her wrist. She turns it on and sweeps the area, tuning it to the latent radiation around her to find the places where it’s most disturbed. It scans the area and prints out the coordinates as well as any instructions on how to get to the weapon.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute.
You automatically detect all sources of major environmental contamination and weapons of mass destruction within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.
Even if there are no sources of major environmental contamination or weapons of mass destruction within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.
it might materialize as a humanoid figure with a blend of organic and mechanical features. Imagine a sleek, silver body with elements of armor plating interwoven with synthetic skin. Its eyes could glow with a warm, friendly light, and it might have intricate circuitry patterns visible beneath translucent sections of its body. The Pal's appearance could vary depending on its purpose and the preferences of its summoner. For example, it might have retractable wings for aerial mobility or specialized appendages for various tasks. Overall, it would exude an aura of reliability and companionship, embodying the essence of a loyal ally bound to serve and protect its summoner
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless I must awake.
Summon a single Pals at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. This Artifact may have at most 2 minions active at a time.

You are obscured in one of the following manners. You may Spend an Action to change the way in which you're concealed.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.
"The Coffin" can only be used to store things commonly found in coffins, such as bodies, clothes, jewelry, photos, weapons, coins, and similar.
This Artifact can be used as a container. It is roughly the same size as a alligator-skin briefcase and just as difficult to conceal. Unless you are storing something commonly found in coffins, this Artifact behaves as its mundane counterpart.
Your alligator-skin briefcase holds 5 times what it normally could. Objects stored inside are weightless.
Living things can be stored in your alligator-skin briefcase. They will have access to anything else inside and may attempt to break free, damaging or destroying the alligator-skin briefcase in the process.
If your alligator-skin briefcase is destroyed, things inside may get out, and it will cease to function until it is repaired.
You may change the type of your container between Contracts.
Only you may open and close the container. Others can still destroy it to get at the contents
The airship of solitude is the mad scientist's lair and preferred mode of travel. The mad scientist may pilot the ship alone or rely on its autopilot features for ultimate convenience.

The new object's appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), but must be of a similar size and weight to this Artifact.
The new appearance is illusory; it will hold up to scrutiny, but its composition is not altered and it gains no new functionality. Any attempt to use it for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) will cause the illusion to fail or allow a Perception check to see through the illusion, at the GM's discretion.
