The Mudnomicon opens and starts to seep out mud, The Mud Lord waves over the book and shoots out mud all over their body.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within 20 feet.
The target's sense of pain, touch, and sight becomes suppressed for the next day. Any roll requiring pain, touch, or sight automatically fails, and other relevant rolls suffer up to a -3 dice penalty at the GM's discretion.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The Mudonomicon opens as they read out the book as they chant and seep out mud from their body.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Trauma to manifest over the course of a day: The World Shall Know Mud. If you lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next month.
Edgar leans in close to the grappled or restrained target, using his thin pebbled tongue to extract a live maggot infesting his body, which he then inserts into an ear, a nostril, the mouth, or another orifice of choice - he then pronounces the terms upon which the maggots will mystically multiply, consuming the victim from within...slowly.
A curse learned from the vile pages of the Cultes des Goules, this effect relies on maggots that have come to live within the bodies of the Ghouls themselves, feeding on detritus & rotting flesh that lodges between the creatures teeth. These maggots are not generally harmful to the Ghouls, but if forced into healthy flesh they can be unnaturally voracious, made even more so by a Maledicta from the dread book - when the curse is fulfilled, the maggots multiply within the victim, eating him from the inside out in an excruciating process that can take up to a minute - of those killed by The Worm Turns, only bones remain.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within arm's reach. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is grappled or restrained. You must use up a live maggot in order to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Brawl Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 8. The target's material Armor is completely ignored.
When you activate this Effect, instead of occurring immediately, you may choose to delay its effects until the target takes a particular Action. For example: "when they fire a gun" or "when they swim in deep water."
Instead of dealing Damage all at once, the Injury caused by this Power starts at Severity 1 and worsens at the rate of one level per Round until it reaches the Severity it would have otherwise been.
Minerva wiggles her nose absentmindedly as she finds her target in the Dreamlands. Once she does, she slips into its Dream - for all things have Dreams - even objects. Once inside of its dream, she can talk with it, persuading it to behave as she desires.
"I am locked."
"Yes, but you *could* be unlocked."

It does require her to be able to focus properly and not distracted.
Spend 1 minute. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Can be used on Alien technology. This Effect cannot be used unless you have no Body damage and your Mind is Agitated or better. Roll Charisma + Influence, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is nose wiggling. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
The blood soaked inside the bandages extend, animate, and twist like a set of tendril-like appendages, slamming into the ground and propelling the user forward. When activated mid-air, the bandages instead extend to latch onto whatever surface the user targets and pulls them forward.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Location which is at most 375 feet away horizontally or 75 feet away vertically. If you are using this Effect as a Reaction, you must travel at least 10 feet. You must use up a pint of blood in order to activate this Effect.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may opt to trade your free movement for a Super Leap if you are jumping less than 50 feet or if you are closing a gap to an opponent and spend your Action on an attack.
You may activate this Effect while in free-fall, as long as your target Location is a surface on which you can land. You are immune to fall damage.
When you use this Effect as a Reaction to dodge, if you Exert your Mind to activate the Effect, you do not need to roll; your dodge is automatically successful.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see blood-soaked bandages twisting and slithering like monstrous tendrils around the user or their target.
It's all about Belief, and Bob knows he has the right key, or card, for the job... somewhere.. Aw Yes! This one! It may take him a moment to go through All those keys, but he damn well knows he's got it in there somewhere.

Spend an Action. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). This Effect cannot be used unless Used on non-living things.
You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a firepit's fire at your target. Extinguishing a fire does not cost Exertion. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 4 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Through years of practice, the mobster is able to shatter someone's kneecap without much effort.

All alterations you make must damage the target's knees.

The Witch is a master herbalist and can cure any number of illnesses and diseases with her special potions. She goes into the wilderness to find the proper set of herbs. Once she has what she's looking for, she mixes them together and boils the concoction. Steam rises from the mixture, twisting into recognizable shapes such as animals and spirits. The whole process takes about fifteen minutes, after which the patient must drink the entire mixture. They are immediately cured.
The proper preparation varies from person to person, so a single batch cannot be used to treat multiple people.
Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. This Effect cannot be used unless you can forage for herbs. You must actively and obviously use water, a container, and heat to activate this Effect.
You may cure any Non-Alien diseases, toxins, or poisons afflicting your target even if you have not diagnosed or fully understood it. You may cure diseases or poisons even if they are not treatable through modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional Damage or other effects.
Whenever you cure a disease, poison, or toxin, if it had inflicted any Damage, your target is healed for half that Damage.

For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.

Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome + 2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
