Through channeling ether into one's eye, the user can perceive an individual's thoughts, feelings, and secrets in an ancient, runic language that the practitioner must attempt to decipher in the moment before the words return from whence they came.
Every individual's thoughts, feelings, their deepest secrets, while most believe that these things are only tangible in their own minds, the especially strong ones take a physical form in a mystical plane, one only visible to those talented in the magical arts. Through discussion, a skilled practitioner can illicit the physical manifestations of these thoughts and feelings, appearing in an ancient language that the practitioner must attempt to decipher in the moment, while still conversing with the individual, making this process only possible to the most skilled witches and warlocks who possess the sight. These runic pieces of text that encompass the secrets and desires literally emerge from the target's mouth as they speak, requiring a discussion to occur. Possession of this eye grants one the ability to constantly perceive the mystical plane, though this inhibits perception of the natural world.

This Effect activates whenever Approached Aggressively. It does not require an Action or Exertion. βYour target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. The area within 10 feet of you immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Anyone in the area has 1 Round to attempt to escape. During the next Round, on your Initiative, roll Intellect + Science at Difficulty 6. Targets remaining inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GMβs discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).
If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 10 feet of you with Damage equal to your Outcome + 4. If you botched the activation roll, you will also take full Damage from the blast, otherwise it will not hurt you.
Janus reflects on his time in the cult and his slow but progressive indoctrination. How his food was subtly diminished, sleeping times were shifted, independence and decision making were shelved. How all of his behaviors were subtly curtailed to fitting what the cult wanted. He then tries to recreate a minor example of that on another in order to better understand them and their traumas.

If cracked and applied to a chronic injury such as a missing limb, the scar heals completely within the hour. The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown attack at a Location within normal attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or defend, as normal for thrown attacks. The attack does not deal Damage, but the Effect does.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ΒΌ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
