Upon eating said food, the consumer body will start to morph and almost mutate. Slowly bending and bubbling until they gain the mutation. The food itself is stored in these qi bubbles and is then shrunken and compressed. Upon squeezing the bubble, the food slowly expands and become a full bowl/dish of the food. The food generally looks extremely appetizing.
bu fang will be strengthening his connection to the Qi in a more unorthodox way. Previously he was cultivating the way of the cardinal beast, the white tiger, red phoenix, golden dragon, and black turtle snake. Which requires a more balanced mindset as one needs to maintain a level qi over it. This allows him to be able to easily take traits of animals and imbued their excess Qi into the very food he cooks.
Now that he has gone through a specific event, his mind is no longer stable. the yang of the 4 cardinal beast, the dragon and phoenix are taking dominance. This lead to his qi becoming significantly more unstable and leads to his ability to condense the meal not as simple anymore. The qi merely disperse as its no longer balance and like all things in this world, it seeks balance.
In exchange for this though, his qi has resonated more with creatures and animals as most of them are beings of yang qi. He can directly manipulate the qi within a creature. This becomes practically as if he's molding his own Qi when they're already under the influence of his Qi as the yang qi are dominant and aggressive.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. The target can easily Resist.
You may add one augmentation to your target. Each augmentation counts as a Battle Scar and can have exactly one of the following Effects:
By transplanting a body part from another creature, you can grant a Powers intrinsic to that body part to the subject.
The augmentations you provide are not outwardly visible nor obvious.
Mira's jokes are so bad they make people fall asleep :3
Better description:
Mira awkwardly shuffles onto the stage, adjusting the microphone and clearing her throat. The mic rings throughout the room, Mira taps it, "Hello everyone!", "Why don't oysters donate to charity?" .... silence .... "Because they're SHELLFISH!" Mira struggles to contain her laughter at her own joke, the crowd is dead silent.
This goes on and before long nearly the entire crowd have fallen asleep. Mira looks at the crowd, dejected and steps off stage...
Spend an Action. Select a Location within 30 feet. All Living targets within 20 feet of the chosen location are affected. This Effect cannot be used unless Mira is performing in front of a crowd of people or on a stage of some sort and Mira is making jokes continously for at least 1 minute. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, affected targets becomes drowsy for the next 30 seconds, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall asleep for Outcome x 3 minutes.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, but may still be woken up by sudden loud noises, being jarred or splashed with water, taking Damage, or similar rousing events. They will also awaken before dying of hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
When activating this Effect you may attempt a knockout. If you do and your Contested Outcome exceeds 4, the target falls asleep immediately. Otherwise, they suffer the drowsy penalty for 2 Rounds.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Tony's mouth always seems to get him into trouble. His voice, already quite distinctive, becomes even louder and slightly echoing, lingering in the air and ears of those listening long after he stops speaking. There isn't any noticeable or flashy change to the surroundings, but a person affected just can't seem to ignore anything that Tony has to say. And Tony himself is more than happy to talk shit and make jokes all day.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a Animate target within 5 feet who can perceive you through Hearing. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target will keep their full attention focused on you for contested Outcome in rounds. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you. If they cannot perceive you through Hearing for three Rounds, the Effect is broken. The Effect ends early if the target is Injured or enters Combat.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you.
You may end this effect prematurely as a Free Action.
This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.
You must retain Concentration to keep up the effect; if your Concentration is interrupted, the effect will end.
Spend at least two Actions performing the following ritual: fills w smoke to activate. Select a Sapient target or a Creature within 20 feet. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see fills w smoke.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
The Goblin King taps a lock or lockable structure, causing it to open or close.
Spend an Action. Select a door, lock, or locked target within arm's reach. Cannot be used on Alien technology.
You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.
Tighe burrows his mind into the flesh of his target, until his thoughts wear the skin of target, playfully playing the instrument that is their heart. A sadistic grin will manifest as Tighe finds himself uncontrollably enjoying toying with their target.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a number of Living targets equal to your Charisma within 45 feet as well as a specific emotion. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by the chosen emotion. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is a sadistic grin manifesting onto Tighe's face. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
If any affected target takes or deals Damage, this Effect ends.
The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
The Witch gazes at a calm and trusting animal and blinks, revealing eyes that have changed to match the creature's. Her body goes limp and collapses, and the witch proceeds to walk away, now temporarily borrowing the animal's body.
A borrowing Witch is a visitor in the animal's mind and cannot overstay her welcome or force the animal into danger.
Spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Creature target within 20 feet. The target may Resist.
You possess your target and have control over their actions for the next hour. Your original body will be left behind, unconscious, in its same location. You may perceive through your original body's senses, at a -2 penalty to all Actions while doing so. If your original body is touched, you get a Perception check to notice. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: Any Actions you take will use the possessed creature’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception, but use your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities.
Gifts: You do not have access to any Gifts while you are possessing your target.
Death: If the host suffers an Injury, or is destroyed or incapacitated, you are evicted back into your own body. If the possession ends and your original body was killed or destroyed, you will die.
Eviction: You cannot force your host to take Actions which would violate their instinct for self-preservation (which includes engaging in Combat for any purpose other than self-defense or natural hunting); any attempt to do so will sever the connection and send you back into your own body. If you are forced out of the target's body prematurely, you must make a Trauma roll.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
The mutant now occasionally lays large, orange-speckled eggs. These Eggs do not hatch nor spoil. If cracked and applied to a chronic injury such as a missing limb, the scar heals completely within the hour. However, any area healed by the egg will forever carry an inhuman appearance as testament to the bizarre method of treatment.
Spend a minute and use up this unusually large egg (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Select a Living target within arm's reach. Select a Battle Scar on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind an inhuman attribute such as fur, scales, or feathers on the target which cannot be healed.
The mystic enters a meditation while focusing on a remote location. A glowing sigil of an eye appears on their forehead, and a ghostly image of themselves meditating appears at the location they are envisioning. For a brief period, they may see the area they are projecting to as though they were standing there.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target Location within 75 feet.
You may perceive things as if you were standing at that Location. The effect lasts indefinitely but you must maintain Concentration to keep it up. You cannot perceive anything at your physical location while the effect is active.
You create a visible manifestation at the Location where your senses are projected which looks like a ghostly image of yourself meditating.
The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown attack at a Location within normal attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or defend, as normal for thrown attacks. The attack does not deal Damage, but the Effect does.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ¼ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
