His knuckles have become hardened, and his biceps and triceps have doubled in size.
He isn't the most skilled. He isn't the most combat-saavy.
His durability is what enables him to survive his strength. Though his skin is truly tougher than a humans, not impossibly durable- But deeper down, the muscle and bone constrict reflexively, growing denser and resistant to damage in anticipation even as the blow itself collides.
Weapons ricochet off his body unpredictably, swatted away almost absent mindedly or playfully caught between two fingers and flicked away.
Mark's unique genetics kicked in at a young age, though it was nearly his late teenage years before he actually started practicing combat and fighting, visiting a community boxing club.
First thing he learned was how to not break the gloves and bags.
Turns out people were *much* softer.

When his mortal body becomes damaged enough, Leon sheds his corporeal form and returns to his spiritual body. His mortal form discorporating into a cloud of white ethereal wisps before coming together to form a translucent whirlpool of energy from which he emerges as a man sized nine tailed fox, eyes ablaze with green flame, and each of his nine tails proudly on display. Though the process results in him briefly experiencing a total void of sensation as the body is shed and it leaves him disoriented and feral for the short time it takes him to reconstitute a new form it's utility is inarguable. Though such a transformation would without question expose him to the world, Leon is not the type to be so kind as to leave loose ends once his true Kitsune body has been exposed.
This Effect activates whenever Leon takes a severity 4. It does not require an Action or Exertion. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.
You transform into A nine tailed fox with large yellow eyes with hexagonal irises on each of the tails for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are A nine tailed fox with large yellow eyes with hexagonal irises on each of the tails, and you can use your equipment. The Injuries and Battle Scars of your Alternate Form and your true form are tracked separately.
While transformed, your Attributes are the same. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
If you are restricted, restrained, dazed, sleepy, or stunned, you may activate this Effect to break free or end the negative effect. You cannot free yourself by transforming more than once a minute.
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Self-Control. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack and cannot stop fighting until there are no targets remaining.
Deeper still Dominic delves into the forbidden technology of the illuminati, and now is able to link his own nanites to the flow of flouride within the brain of people that he touches and in that moment read through their thoughts. Though in the touching of minds it is possible for the backfeed to corrupt his own thoughts, a factor that he is not wholly consciously aware of as his first action was to use this on himself, and in doing so erase his knowledge of it.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living, Animate target within arm's reach You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. You are able to view your target's memories. The target is unaware their memories are being probed. The Effect ends if the target moves out of range or your Concentration is interrupted.
You may ask specific questions about their memory - “what is their computer password,” “What were they doing at 4:00PM yesterday,” etc - but you cannot get answers to broad, analytical questions like “are they a good person?” or “what are their plans for the future?”
Each question takes as long as it takes to answer to read. When replaying a full memory, it is replayed in double time.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Dominic's left pupil dilating. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The phoenix is an everlasting entity, never truly dead. Each aspect of it, however, returns for a purpose. For Billy Chance, it's to right the wrong that slew him.
Though, if the death blow is dealt by an innocent person, then that vengeance could never be placed.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.
While Incapacitated, your only weakness is being hurt by an innocent person, and if you take damage from it, you will die. Damage from other sources will still be dealt and can cause Battle Scars, but will never kill you. If your weakness is not immediately intuitive or obvious, attackers may be able to make some sort of knowledge roll to discover it, at GMs discretion. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.

The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.

The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health.
