Reluctantly taking the tile inscribed 'ᛏ' from the pouch, the mage grimaces as it begins to glow a deep crimson. Focusing, they brandish it at their opponent - and allow blood-soaked images of pillage and murder to flow into their target. As the sparks of mana pass through the air, passers-by are able to briefly glimpse what is being shown to the mage's quarry - and can only wince in sympathy.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Sapient or Creature target within 20 feet. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a new Trauma selected by the GM. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see you force your target to mentally experience hundreds of brutal viking raids simultaneously.
The crown's symbols twist slightly and the target develops an internal brand on one of their organs carrying the symbol of the beast.

Your target is marked with ________. The mark can only be discovered with a deep medical inspection or Effect. Removal inflicts a Severity 1 Injury on the target.
You are aware of the marked target's direction and distance from you. This lasts for the next month, or until either the mark is removed, or you choose to end the Effect. This Artifact can have up to 3 marks active.
You receive +2 dice to any rolls made against a marked target.
Anastasia slots an intricately engraved bullet into the chamber of the gun and spins it. In a quick motion she puts the gun to her temple and pulls the trigger. After the click she points the gun at the enemy and loses a shot.
Spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you gain battle scar: traumatic brain injurie. You must use up engraved bullet in order to activate this Effect. Roll Perception + Firearms Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this Damage.
If you successfully hit your target, the value of any Armor they are wearing is reduced by 2. For material armor, this penalty lasts until it is repaired. For intrinsic armor, it lasts until the end of Combat and any relevant wound is healed.
If the target suffers an Injury from this Effect, they will receive at least a Minor Battle Scar regardless of its Severity. When this Effect causes a Battle Scar, you may select which one of the appropriate level.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a target Location within 75 feet.
You may perceive things as if you were standing at that Location for the next 30 minutes. You may move your senses back and forth between your projected location and your real location without prematurely ending the effect. You may only have one projected location active at a time.
Others near you may choose to observe what you are perceiving by Twitch Stream.
While this is active, your senses may travel from their initial Location to explore the surrounding area. They may move at up to 5 x Perception feet per round.
You create a visible manifestation at the Location where your senses are projected which looks like Larceny the Cockatiel.

While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you from other, additional senses fails automatically. If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.

Dazzle Glasses are advanced "black-tech" espionage gear. They can be styled as any sort sunglasses. When the wearer is recorded, they will quickly flash a non-visible laser into the recording device, destroying it after only a moment of footage is taken.
This Effect activates whenever you are recorded. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Non-Sapient Object within 20 feet no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). Roll Perception + Culture Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
Standard issue in the Future Soldier's home time, the Personal Shield Generator (PSG) projects a protective energy barrier around the body. It absorbs damage far better than traditional armor, but its battery is quickly drained. When depleted, the PSG must spend a few seconds recharging.
When struck, the normally-invisible field of the PSG flashes, revealing a bright yellow honey-comb pattern encasing the body.

Any time your Armor prevents damage, your total Armor rating is temporarily decreased by 1. Whenever you go two Rounds without preventing any damage, it is restored back to its full value.
