Description

Bill is well practiced at reading people, and can use subtle clues from dialogue and body language to discern someone's desires, as well as whether or not their behavior is being influenced by a deal or contract they are subject to. He must be engaged in conversation with someone in order to pick up on these details, and someone paying close attention might notice him casually but frequently touching his passport throughout the conversation.

System

Exert your Mind, choose a Sapient target within Arm's Reach and spend 1 Minute examining them. At the end of the cast time roll Charisma + Investigation Difficulty 6. The quality of the information you receive depends on your Outcome, and the nature of the information depends on the Enhancements you have chosen.

The number of information-revealing Enhancements attached to this power is limited to 2 for Novice characters, 4 for Seasoned characters, and 7 for Veteran characters. You may still take any number of other, non-informational enhancements.

Enhancements

  • Other (You can learn some other piece of information about the target)

    • Type of Information - Any major and currently active deals or agreements they have entered into

  • Lucifer (You learn a hidden desire of the target.)
  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
    • Object - Passport
  • Conversationalist (You must actively converse with the individual in question for one minute in order to gather any information.)
