Luna has immense control over digital systems, although it's come at the cost of her body and... to a degree, her mind. Spending all her time in cyberspace.
Spend 2 Actions. Select a Computer within 20 feet. Can be used on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is her nose wiggling. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Weak Stomach: Your time in a more perfect world has left you weaker to the more ugly parts of the one you live in and Shoulder Sublaxiation: One of your shoulders is damaged. Whenever it takes a major blow or is otherwise put under stress the GM may dislocate it. A dislocated limb cannot be used until you Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reset it.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Fear of the Dark: You are utterly terrified of darkness. You must succeed a Self-Control roll in order to leave a well-lit area. If you fail, you may Exert your Mind to face your fear. Take a Mind Damage if you are ever surprised while it’s dark.
Kyle presses a finger into the back of his neck - you hear a sharp crack. He stares at the locked doors. The keypad flashes green for a brief moment. After a long and drawn-out silence, the door unlocks, and swings wide open - allowing entry.
What the fuck?
Kyle is not fully human. He doesn't quite know it yet, but a part of his brain's been replaced with cybernetics and electronics. Using an antennae located in his head, he is able to subconsciously operate these bio-technical electronics responsible for interfacing with computer systems.
Hates cops, hates the system, smokes pot - he's a real cyberpunk now, ain't he?
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Device within 20 feet. Does not work on Alien technology.
When targeting non-computer devices, you may operate switches, buttons, dials, levers, and latches.
A hologram arm appears where Tay's missing limb would be and the circuit board glows brightly. the hologram arm reaches into the computer and then disapears leaving it's code in the system until activation, leaving a shining pink stone behind on the screen
the arm looks very much non human, and mechanical, like the arm Tay lost and the stone left behind is modeled after the artifact that allows time travel. This all works do to special parts of the circuit that try to interact with the arm, but instead as a fail-safe make the holographic arm temporarily. This power merely gives a means to interact with the circuit board to hack a system.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Can be used on Alien technology. You must actively and obviously use Modified Circuit Board to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6. The hacking roll and their defensive roll are both Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
Your command does not have to take effect immediately. Instead, upon a successful Hack, you may specify a condition under which the specified command is issued or simply suspend the Command until you desire to activate it.
Every hack you make leaves behind a shining pink stone in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
Minerva wiggles her nose absentmindedly as she finds her target in the Dreamlands. Once she does, she slips into its Dream - for all things have Dreams - even objects. Once inside of its dream, she can talk with it, persuading it to behave as she desires.
"I am locked."
"Yes, but you *could* be unlocked."
-----------------------------------
It does require her to be able to focus properly and not distracted.
Spend 2 Actions. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Can be used on Alien technology. This Effect cannot be used unless you have no Body damage and your Mind is Agitated or better. Roll Charisma + Influence, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is nose wiggling. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: More Thought than Form: Failing a limit roll causes a momentary crisis, and Minerva's form flickers. She takes a severity one from this.
S0L scratches or burns something that looks like a small sun into a surface, but is actually a complex set of instructions in insanely small symbols. A complete system override for any robot or "living computer" not prepared to look at it.
Once the trap triggers, S0L is connected to the victim and may even make their circuits overheat and their bodies burn.
Anyone checking the system afterwards will find an ASCII sun prominently "burnt" into the code.
If you know that an evil copy of you is somewhere out there, you have to find a way to defeat them without giving up on your ideals.
Exert your Mind and spend 30 seconds to trap a region of any shape that contains your current location and fits entirely within 20 feet. This trap lasts until triggered or disarmed. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is an Animate Computer. Roll Perception + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking.
The trap looks like a scratched or burnt sun pictogram. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Computer that enters the chosen region will trigger the trap.
You may issue a "self-destruct" command that leaves the hacked system's hardware inoperable, even if that machine had no such functionality previously. Only works on Computers.
Every hack you make leaves behind A sun on a prominent display in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
The eye sparks & sputters, leaving an imprint from which Grace can extend her senses. Grace can communicate through it at will.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 10 feet.
You place a ward, which is fixed to its initial location. You can perceive with all your senses through the ward as though you were standing at its location. This Artifact may have at most 3 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. It can be detected with a roll and destroyed through mundane means.
You may destroy the Ward to activate one Investigate Individual, >Object, or Area Effect as though you were standing at its location.
You may communicate through your ward, though doing so will reveal its presence.
True to their namesake, the hacker can penetrate the security of any computer system, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.
While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, blurring like a ghost.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology.
If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect, and activation only takes a single Action.
Your Hack cannot be reversed through mundane means for a number of hours equal to your Outcome.
Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of a ghost in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.
