Legacy I'll be gone, but my impact will remain
The artifact can't be broken. There is a stylized "Heal the world for me- Vel" Inscribed on it.
If the artifact is lost, it returns to Vel. If the creator is dead, it finds a way to the nearest person who would use the artifact.
The creator (Vel) can tell when someone else is using it, and is aware of the user's appearance, direction, and distance.
[Future note: Although right now this is tied to Vel, I will update this to reflect that I change the signature to the person I choose once that patch is out]
This is an enhancement built on top of other artifacts to enhance how strong they are.
It's connection is to the person who originally made the artifact, not Vel.
It involves using
- a variety of hard materials (iron, titanium, etc)
- a history book
- a family tree diagram
This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.
By default, the creator of this Artifact is its true owner. The true owner may formally bequeath this Artifact onto another person within arm’s reach, after which they are its true owner. If the true owner dies or is destroyed, their ownership ends. If this Artifact has no true owner, anyone may spend one day attuning to it to become its true owner.
If this Artifact is used by someone other than its true owner, its true owner is alerted and learns the user's appearance, direction, and distance at that moment. The true owner may use a single investigation Effect on them once at any range.
If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Tempered Soul

Should their soul ever falter, their shield will to. So how unfortunate it is to be, that they have none to be staggered.
This Artifact produces ephemeral projectiles that can be used as a javelin.
Attack by rolling Kickass + Athletics, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +3 Weapon Damage.
You also gain the following effects:
- Hail Storm: You may Exert your Mind to make an attack with against all targets within a 120 degree arc in front of you. Your full attack Outcome applies to each of them, but they may attempt to Dodge or Defend if they are aware of the attack.
- Magic Quiver: Instead of throwing this Artifact, it is an object that produces an endless supply of temporary throwable objects. For example, bracers that allow you to throw ethereal javelins, or a sack of throwing rocks that doesn’t shrink when you withdraw one.
- Not Quite Flying: You may Exert your Mind and use up your Movement to “follow” any attack using this weapon, traveling right next to its point of impact.
- Shredder: If you successfully hit your target, the value of any Armor they are wearing is reduced by 2. For material armor, this penalty lasts until it is repaired. For intrinsic armor, it lasts until the end of Combat and any relevant wound is healed.
- Created projectiles last only until they strike their target and cannot be shared or stockpiled.
- The attack must be the primary form of attack for this weapon.
- This Artifact cannot be disguised or morphed with other Effects like Shape-Changing object.
- Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.
Soul Bound Construction
Mine and Mine Alone
Another rune etched upon the ring, the visual effect is limited but when someone places the ring upon their finger they feel a warmth emanate through their body.
The Ring of Tessivar is so named for the fact it holds a fragment of Eldriennes' very being. As such, she is always aware of it and those who hold it. This isn't without flaw though, for how can one rest if they are not whole?
This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.

Elvis never truely died

The spirit of Elvis cannot ever be killed. The dream carries on forever.
This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.

Non-Beautiful People cannot hold or use this Artifact. They take a Severity 1 Injury each Round they touch or possess of the Artifact. It cannot be prevented or healed by any means until one day after they relinquish possession.
If the true owner of this Artifact ever dies, it immediately disappears. At least one week later, it will appear to another beautiful Elvis impersonator and reveal its power to them. They become its new true owner.
If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.
- If there is no available Next of Kin, it will wait two months and then appear to a random person. If multiple next of kin are appropriate, the GM will decide randomly.

The Sightless' Cane is a semi-ordinary cane made of infinitely durable materials, though the power has not yet been unlocked, it will be a key part of the wielder's journey to ascention.

A Gift From The Gang
Never would I have ever thought I'd pick some weird metal thing over my old longbow.
The signature weapon of the sniper Icarus: Long Tom. A powerful cybernetic sniper rifle that uses nearby energy or magic in place of kinetic bullets to fire away. On its side is a dial that you have to set to the feet away the target is. Too close and it'll deal subpar damage. Too far and it'll deal above average damage. But get it just right, and the damage will be huge. One of the nice ways this weapon stays hidden is its ability to fold into the form of a briefcase-- fake, of course, and unable to contain anything other than itself.
